I was about to smash everything and still don't know why I didn't till now . I tried almost 10 times from yesterday and again today to coil by using pre made res and non res wires in 1.8 ohm. I'm having a big burnt taste. I used both 2mm Ekowool and even silica and still same problem. I then used the normal wire I use to use before and it worked from the first coil I done. What I'm doing wrong? am I doing them too thight? or too loose ?

I'm trying to coil the Kanger Protank as I was thinking for getting use to it for the Magoo when it arrives When doing the wraps, try this: the first wrap = non-res wire, then do your normal res wraps, last wrap non-res wire. So if you are doing say 4 wraps of coil it will total 6 wraps as two of the wraps are non res. See if it works.

I will try this method in Ekowool shall I make them a little tight? If you are coiling them using the pin method inside the wick you can tug the wire tightish, if you are making them free hand then snug, not tight and not loose. Loose coil = juice will just spit of the coil, bit like putting cold water into a hot frying pan Tight coil = the wick will be strangled which will cause juice not wicking, dry hits

Very strange as a 1.8ohms should be fine at 8 watts / 3.8 volts The only thing i can think of is: Coil is too tight and it is strangling the wick Or The wick is not saturated enough with juice

Do you give the coil a few pulses to burn off any residue before using?

Don't know what the problem is but i use the 1.8 ready wires from Grey Haze for the Wife's Evods & the 1.5 for Spheroids with no issues at all.
Not much help i know but hope you manage to get it sorted.
