Vamo top cap Question

I have a Vamo V1 & a V2, both have the top cap has a very small space between the connector and edge of the cap that is too tight to fit most Ego threaded atomisers.

So I was wondering about replacing the top caps, even though both used with the 510 connectors are fine.

Stealthvapes is closed so I can't buy one or get any info from there.

Charlies Vape Shop has them in stock HERE but as there's no picture I was wondering if anyone has bought one from here and whether you can get a Mini Protank or Mini Davide on it?

And then I got to wondering if can fit a Vamo V5 top cap with removable outer ring on the V1 or V2? - and even if it did fit I can't find anyone selling them, anyone seen just he V5 top cap for sale?

I can't answer your question Des. But, I have a V2 which I bought from Fasttech and I can use mini protanks and evods on it with no problem. I wonder if it's just luck of the draw?
Maybe the top cap holes can be bored out a mm or two??

Its the space between the Ego connector and the inside edge of the top cap that is too narrow so boring it out is not an option unfortunately.

I replaced the top cap on my v2 with one from stealthvapes and it was identical to the one that was on the v2 originally.

Id imagine you could skim some metal from inside the rim by putting the cap on a drill and using a file/dremel to remove some of the inside thickness(does that even make sense what i just wrote ??? ..i know what i mean )

Sorry @dioscodes i dont have a mini protank but if your current head wont take the mini then the stealthvape one wont either as its identical

My V2 is hopeless with ego threaded devices too - can get them on but lord help me getting them off without causing a juice flood.

I just use my mini protanks on the zmax mini (removable top cap ftw) and 510 devices only on the Vamo

The V5 with removable top cap would probably have the same results mind

Protank 1, 2 Iclear 30's RDA are 510 connection.

Mine will not even take a CE4/5 or Iclear 16

Seems strange ??? i ordered one from stealthvapes which was identical to the original v2 but it threaded very quickly(was faulty) so stealthvapes sent out a replacement and it was exactly the same as the original and in turn the first one sent out.

I ve just checked another ego threaded cheapy clearo from focalecig(no idea what it is) but it fired up fine.

I have plenty of 510 to Ego adapters........... but that's not the point is it?




Any way an adapter makes em look fugley.

I can get a Iclear 16 in (just) but there's no airflow. Yes, I've tried an adapter with and without a hole through

Doubt the stealth vape one will fit as your ones sitting flush as is' and does nt look like the rim is much wider; although hard to gage via a photo(Id either enlarge it with a drill and dremel or get someone with a lathe to remove some metal from the inside.

Ps I know i clear 30 etc are 510(can tell by the way it looks ) I was just blindly listing what i recalled putting on top
