boyofford you will know when the coils want washing/changing as the taste alters dramatically, if you are going to consider recoiling your own heads in the future look up Greigster coil buddy its a great little tool that he has made & only costs £6.90 with postage, i tried coiling a couple of months ago but it was that faffy i only did one & thought sod it i will just buy new heads in future, with the coil buddy i have made two in less than approx 7 minutes this morning at a cost of about 20p each compared to £1.75 each, the taste of the juices is awesome when you use your own coils compared to shop bought coils.

Yes I usually do it everyday but others leave it longer. I change flavours a lot too so that's one reason I'm still learning though That's probably a bit much for me, might just keep chucking them in the bicarb then dry them all together as I've got five anyhow. Do you find if you take a few three or more big drags in quick succession you get a slight burnt taste that goes if you are more patient and let the wick refill? I bought a variable voltage vision spinner at same time and have found if turn voltage right down to minimum this ain't a problem so much anymore. Read somewhere that you need to modify coil(perhaps I forget) in protanks if find this a problem but will have to get googling/youtubing when get a mo. And as these are stamped up with 'myepack' not sure if that applies to these? The myepack ones are genuine kanger ones boyfford. As for having to modify the coil i think you mean just removing the flavour wicks. Like this The burnt taste is because the juice is not getting to the wick quick enough as you chain vape, removing the flavour wick should help with this. You then should be able to up the voltage on your spinner.

Thanks, read the thread on the coil buddy, makes it look a lot easier! wold need a meter to check the resistance was right too I think reading in various places?

My myepack protanks included in kit have the the myepack (I think, its hard to read) logo etched on them, so guessed they were not proper kanger ones, do yours have logo etched on?

Yeah mine have kangertech on them. I am 99% sure epack ones are genuine though boyofford. The question was asked here somewhere the other week and ash came on and showed us the order.

Yes boyofford you would either need a meter or some ecigs like the MVP2 have a digital display that reads resistance.

What is all this talk of £1.75, £2.50... £3.00? A replacement Protank head is £1.20, if you buy in multipacks. Mine last 3-4 days, because I'm picky about the taste. Then I either 1) rinse them, or 2) soak them in Vodka overnight, or 3) send them to the dental hygienist, or 4) carry out voodoo rituals, or 5) put them in a sonic cleaner, or 6) do one of a million other possibly suspect things to the poor buggers then.... Dry-burn and re-use. Once they've been reused once or twice (at a push) they go in the spares box. 6-8 days for £1.20. Got to be happy with that.

The myepack are orginal kanger coils restamped I don't really do big drags I didn't with stinkies either so don't really get that burnt taste I have a itaste vv/vw too and tend to have that turn quite low. I think I've seen something on main thread about it think it was put up by Romelee he's very good at sorting us newbies.

Oops I think others had answered better before I did. The itaste has a reader built in but I don't recoil myself yet.

I do tend to take big drags, and quickly, did with cigs too, probably started doing that originaly because of shortage of time for cig break at work. Feels odd slowing down but already have to slow a bit on these things to get a proper vape. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using proboards

Yep @boyofferd, you may have to slow down the way you Vape, dont think Vaping is like Smoking, it is a different way of inhaling though, try and remember you CAN put down your device AND pick it up again when you feel the need. I've begun to find I have stopped "Chain Vaping", and I tend to start my day at a lower Voltage and increase towards evening time. How strong is your Nicotine and is your juice quite thick?

hi boyofford im pretty new to vaping , the burning taste ive found when coil needs replacing or when liquid in atomizers getting low, also protanks you can change coils how long they last depot how much you use it , I have 2 as this gives one a rest and stops the battery overheating, also ive found cleaning and drying the atomizer and coil after every second refill will extend the life. hope this helps a bit

I've begun to find I have stopped "Chain Vaping", and I tend to start my day at a lower Voltage and increase towards evening time. How strong is your Nicotine and is your juice quite thick? I've find if I leave it close to me I chain vape, and in the right situation I used to do the same with cigs, used to smoke a lot more but thankfully for my health it has got too expensive(price of cigs + house + child)! Last week I was still going outside to vape but starting to vape more inside. My juice is 18mg/16mg and was struggling to get enough off it to resist the urge to just get some cigs for about a day, but now ok. Maybe I've just slowed down my sucking it in, as that seems to work better, or maybe I'm just vaping more. The thickness of what I've got is a bit of a unknown as where I get it from its badly labelled, one bottle had no mention of pg/vg, another mentioned 40% and 20%(I think, I've It's not with me at the mo.). But ordered quite a few samples from Joosejuice at 60%/40% PG/VG as seems a good figure to start from reading on here. I don't like vaping these unknowns but will get proper stuff soon, though will have to steep. What ratio do you vape? Today I've settled with bottom setting for when just taking odd drag which doesn't give to much vape at all really but limits my consumption and turning it up bit for a full on 'vape break'.
