I was given 25 throw away ce4. Because of an initial burnt taste I gave them all a wash and a small dry burn...it has helped but suddenly it will revert back to a burnt taste again which will just as suddenly disappear again. Anyone any ideas if there's anything else I can do.....apart from put them in the bin that is ( probably why I was given them )

padihoBurnt taste is usually caused by 2 things: 1. Putting too much power through a atomiser (too high a wattage of voltage) - try a lower setting. 2. By the liquid not wicking fast enough to the coil so the wick getting dry and burning. If you're not using a VV / VW device then I suspect the latter, check the little silicone cap on the tube inside the tank is not constricting the flow to the wicks. I used to cut notches in these so they did not squeeze the wick.

My first kit came with CE4s and I was having the same problem... I tilted my e-cig and twisted it round slowly and it made the burnt taste go away, so yes, wicking too slowly seemed to be the problem for me

I think you may be right about the wicking, even though I am continually "swishing" it's still happening. Disco how do I cut notches and where? It is very difficult to get the juice in even with a needle nozzle because it is so tight, no space , so it sounds like you are right. Appreciate your help.

Most people start with CE4's but soon move on to something else. I think that says it all. Jag. (Yep, moved on to something else ...)

Take the drip tip out, bend the end of a paperclip at right angles to use as a hook to pull the silicone cap off the metal tube. Pull it out then use a small pair of scissors to cut 2 small (1mm) notches opposite each other at the bottom of the cap. Re-insert using the bent paperclip to help push it back into place and try that.
