O.K., I'm looking to get a simple RBA Dripper, the i-go l looks favourite at the moment for ease of working on, and affordability. This will be my first venture into Re-building, and reading LOTS and LOTS of posts, on a few Forums I have realised that I am going to have to upgrade my Power Source. At the minute I have an MVP2, which has Variable Voltage, which I use and change throughout the day, and Variable Wattage, which I don't touch. I have noticed a decline in the ability of my MVP@ to hold charge for as long as it did, I'm still getting a whole days Vaping from it, but am aware it will need replacin sooner rather than later. So I'm looking for a cheap, reliable Mech Mod, enough Battery Power to allow me to Vape all Day, a Decent Battery Charger and the ability to Change Voltage/Wattage without messing around with coils that is rugged enough to cope with a bit of abuse. Am I asking for the impossible Am I asking for the impossible, or is there something out there???

A mech mod doesn't have any circuitry keepitgoin so yes you're asking for the impossible sorry. Cheap reliable electronic mods would be a Vamo or a SID or one of half a dozen others, cheap reliable mech mods could be anything really, how about a nemesis clone from FT? Dirt cheap and very acceptable quality. You would be best doing a search of the board to research batteries if you go for a mech mod, you'll want safe chemistry high drain hobbies to keep safe if you start experimenting with coils. You could of course mess with coils on an electronic mod but they generally won't fire below 1.2 ohms (ish) so it would limit your options a little

Cheers poochops, my issue is that I am aware that my MVP2 won't last forever, and I am then left with a device I cant recharge, so I understood a "Kick" (another piece of Digital electrickery that will also wear out) would serve the function of managing my battery output, or have I got the wrong end of the stick??? (It's always probable I have) Advice from more knowledgeable Vapers than me is very welcome,as I have only been Vaping a couple of months and it is a minefield still!!

A kick would work yes, still won't work with low ohms but if you wanted to try low ohms you could take it out provided your battery is good for the load. If you're after a reliable all day vape in all honesty I'd stick with a vv/vw mod if it were me, drippers and mech need patience and perseverance, especially in the first weeks.

Thanks poochops, stick with MVP2, just get another one then??? I do find the MVP fine, I'm just thinking about the cost of replacing it every 3 or 4 months. I'm not sure what's inside an MVP2 as a battery, I guess I'll find out when it dies and I strip it out

Cheers for the link Super-Shiny, site not responding at the minute though, are there problems with this kick, or is it only suitable for this MOD

Damn me Super-Shiny just beat me to it, +1 for the Magneto, I got mine from smoke cloud and it arrived next day and fab customer service (I had a dodgy top cap and they replaced it at no charge, can't recommend them enough) It's resilient, I've been using mine as my everyday device for the last 2 - 3 weeks and it is fab. Been running my Dripper and fogger on it. Telescopic so can take 18350 or 18500 (with a kick I belive) and the 18650 which should last you most of the day if you don't go too low on you coil ohms (my Dripper runs at 0.8 dual coil). In 18350 mode it's nice and discreet as well. +looks amazing (imho)

I don't want to put you off experimenting though! get a mech mod and a kick, Roms suggestion is great, stick an igo on it and play around to your hearts content. Get a vv/vw mod for all day, 4 good batteries and you'll be happy for the next six months. If you shopped well you could have change out of a £100. Or write a Christmas present list

If it packs in after 3 - 4 months I would return it to the vendor for a replacement.
