Hi guys been a while since my last post but I do enjoy reading all the posts.
Right I have been using a sigeli z max for a while now vv model and was looking to expand on my shineys but I keep seeing the mech mods and was wondering how they compare, on mine I use it at 8.5w using an rsst head 1.9 ohms 0.2 kenthal and a metal 500 mesh wick.
if I bought a mech mod,
as u cant vary the voltage what's the output like compared to what I use.
Does it drop in output as the battery discharges.
What's the opinion of you guys that have used both please.
TY your opinions are valued and appreciated.
Steve

Hey steve, I am a mech guy most of the time, but I find it really depends on the juice your vaping. But in answer to your question, your 1.9ohms on a fresh battery is a little over 9w, so your vape will be similar with a fresh battery on, but will drop as it dies off. You could get a mech with a kick in it then you could set it at 4v which will give you around 8.5w. I prefer mech's because they look 100 times better than any VV/VW device on the market right now. Including the new DNA ones

ginge just about covered it. It all depends on your overall set up, any rebuildable atty can be made to perform well on a mech mod and once you find that sweet set up it's great. Mine is a Nemmy + Kayfun set up with a 1.5ohm coil and nest method wick which works excellent for me.

Mev has it there, the nemesis with a kick2 at 8w and a kayfun at 2ohms is my mainstay Mech mods with a drop in module like the kick mean that you have no visual display but if you vape at the same power all the time and don't need to constantly make adjustments they are great and the whole thing is aesthetically more pleasing to look at. The vv or vw counterparts as standard mods tend to be a lot longer in length.
I have all manor of vv and vw devices here but I always prefer to use a decent mech with a kick

I have a plethora of mech mods, 5 provari's and a vv/vw Tesla to choose from. By far the best is a stealth topped GGTS mainly because, similar to what Ginge said, it's a mech and it looks and feels that absolute mutts.
With a mech mod the power of the vape does reduce as the battery voltage does and you find yourself pressing the button and taking much longer sucks to get the hit. There are some exceptionally nice mechs out there if you can get them.
