It seems as though the brass bit should be down in the tube, and not visible, but I think the circuit board is too high in the tube for it to fit in properly. Will take a few more pics before I send it back - its definitely going back though!

If it was mine I would just file it down flush , providing there was still enough depth of thread left to screw the atty all the way home.

OK - so I've made it look beautiful, by using a wide top beauty run (protank one I think), so happy bunny again. And just for robby - a PIC without the top cap
Its a lot better with the beauty ring in it, but possibly too big for me in 18650 mode!

That is so strange fred, I have never seen or heard of one with a brass washer or shim (looks like it anyway) between the Vamo top tube and the atty connector, thanks for posting the pic Looks like you found a good workaround . I have never seen a single machined mod top with two different metal type appearances. If it is actually a separate piece (the brass looking bit), then I have never seen anything like that on a Vamo.
