Hello All,
Looooooong time no post! Hope you're all well?
Where am I going wrong here?
Just got hold of a Sigelei 19b (pre-loved) and a Smok Magneto (new). The problem is that when I fit my Protank 2 to either of them, I get no airflow, and therefore no draw (the draw is so tight that I can actually suck the eliquid out of the tank!). Fitted an airflow collar and no change. If I unscrew the Protank a bit, I can vape, but the tank is now loose.
Also, firing on both is intermitent unless the tank is screwed in tight... but then I get no airflow!
When I return the Protank to my Smok Telescope, I can vape again.
Anyone got any ideas?
Sean

Has the protank head got holes on the 510 pin and has the base got two slots on it for airway?

Also try a new atty on the Magneto and see if you have the same problem, i had a Magneto and the Protank worked fine without any airflow controller.

Has the protank head got holes on the 510 pin and has the base got two slots on it for airway? Yep, the tank has 3 tiny holes in the screwthread and 2 straight slots in the base. The atty has an centre hole oand a central slot... works fine with the Telescope (which has an Ego-type top instead of the flat tops of the 19b & Magneto). Sean

I only have the Protank at the moment but don't worry, problem solved! You're a genius Rom - changed the atty and both working like a charm. Still weird that it worked well with the Telescope though... Puritank and Protank 3 hopefully arriving tomorrow!

I suspect what is happening is when screwing down the protank the centre contact rubber grommet of the replaceable head is getting compressed and swelling to block the path to the air holes. What you need to do is shave some of the rubber off the sides of the grommet with a sharp knive. Then when it swells with compression it will not restrict the airflow. Start by shaving of two sides so it is like a round ring with two flats, then make it 4 flats if not enough and if still you want more air then shave all the way around. You need a sharp knife and be careful not to disturb the wires for the coil. Hope this makes sense, if not I shall try and post a pic of what I mean.

Still weird that it worked well with the Telescope though Could be that the 510 connection protrudes higher than the others so less chance of blocking, as i know the Magneto 510 pin is quite low, not sure about the Sigelei 19b as i have never owned one. Also what Brambles said can cause it, rare but can cause it.

Pinhead, not sure if you are aware but they changed the design of the Magneto top cap so it now has an adjustable pin. Might be worth getting in touch with a vendor to see if they can source just the top cap, my Magneto came from SmokeCloud if that's any help
