Smelling like an ashtray

There are two people that I know that smoke in their houses and they are heavy smokers and I do mean heavy!

Going into those houses I feel that I should be wearing breathing apparatus. The stink is overpowering.

I can only guess that they are not aware of the stink because, both being older women, their houses are otherwise spick and span.

They both know that I vape and know that we have redecorated our house to get rid of the tobacco smells from when I used to smoke in my own house, but I don't think the penny has yet dropped on what their own houses must smell like to others. Or maybe they just don't care.

Yes mybad, I think you are correct, which is a shame because they get very few visitors because of the smell.

It is only just bearable to ex-smokers like myself. I cannot imagine what it would be like for non-smokers.

Yep, I found as soon as I stopped smoking I could sniff out a smoker from a good few metres away. And within a few days of stopping, the smell of smoke made my stomach lurch. Which is weird, because every other time I tried to quit (pre-vaping) I'd inch closer to smokers and stalk them down the road sniffing their smoke!

I got the embarrassment of realising I stank like that for all those years as well.

Does anyone else find though that rollies don't smell anywhere near as bad as ready-made cigs? It's still not the nicest smell but nowhere near as rank to me.
