Ive got a very nice Cobra Genesis that is blue from heat treating. (Cant remember name of this process) and im wondering if it can be polished off easily enough? ive had bike exhausts that had the same treatment and when the tarmac bit me the exhaust was standard metal colour underneath but dont fancy dragging my atty along the floor at 60mph to get it cleaned.

Don't know about Titanium, but for blued exhausts I always used copius amounts of salvol autosol and plenty of elbow grease. Never did help me with gravel rash though

Yes you can polish it off. it is just surface oxidisation. You may find it easier to start with some very fine, 1000 wet and dry and some water. and do a final polish with autosol. The dimples are going to be the tricky bit.
