It does sound like that's the culprit, I hope it resolves soon, the only thing you can do at night is to use a mountain of pillows in a kind of armchair arrangement, to try and stop you sliding off them during the night, or sleep in a chair, which is horrible I know. Keep your fluids up to loosen anything collecting on your chest and keep taking the tablets as they say! Get well soon xx

Oh dear, that's a bit of a bugger Super-ShinyMy guess is that it was just coincidence. Bastos is just silica wick like anything else - they only really vary in how many strands, how tightly packed they are, thickness etc. You do get residues on them, but sounds like you dealt with that. Maybe one possibility is that you inhaled a stray silica strand - they all tend to shed the odd strand and that could perhaps act as an irritant

Perhaps the Bastos is more susceptible to this (I've never even seen any, so can't comment!). I would avoid the wick in question until you are completely back to normal, and in the meantime stick to safe vaping, even if that means using a Spinner and something low-nic. Hope you recover soon, and DON'T WAKE THE BABY!!!!!!!!!

Maybe one possibility is that you inhaled a stray silica strand - they all tend to shed the odd strand and that could perhaps act as an irritant Think you are spot on here, done some testing today and come up with this: Iatty chimney thread are like razors and slice the wick when the chimney is screwed down over the wick. Piccy of the Chimney: The sophia's thread does not do this as they have been specially made not too but they do have a very sharp edge to cut the wick. Piccy of the Sophia: Piccy of Iatty with Bastos wick and you can see what the Chimney does to the wick: Piccy of the Iatty with Silica wick, as you can see not much damage to the wick: So it seems Bastos wick is a lot more weaker than Silica and the fluff coming from it i can only presume was going on the coil when i was vaping with it and that i must have a alergy with the slightest bit of Bastos wick being burnt. Now i could just un-screw the Iatty chimney and just blow away the fluff (also didn't do this when i used the Sophia) but i am gonna choose not to use it, been vaping both the Iatty and Sophia with Silica and not a single problem yet.

Thanks Phoenix . it feels good that i can now vape without feeling nervous, just waiting on my Custard mix to steep as i am dying for a custard fix (my fault for not making earlier) but as i have changed from 24mg too 16mg due to getting the Kayfun/Sophia it looks like i have to wait for it to steep. Sooooo looking forward to a smooth vape with custard i am not fussed with throat hit anymore just a juice that hits the spot with smooth flavor
