I've decided to take the plunge and ordered 100ml of 50/50 24mg Nic base along with the following concentrates:
1. Custard 2. Honey 3. Vanilla 4. Menthol
All from LT ecigs
ive looked at some of the recipes and it has occurred to me that some flavour concentrates may vary in strength depending on who manufactured them. Is that the case ? will the recipes only work with the specified brand of concentrates ?
i appreciate that an element of experimentation will be required but I'd like to make a reasonable first attempt.
Advice from all you alchemy wizards appreciated
thanks

Different concentrates makes a big difference!
I've made PVC with capella and tpa custard concentrate (both at same %) and they are totally different in taste.. tpa is quite mellow whereas capella is more creamy with an extra hit of vanilla..
Best thing you can do is to mix up some 5ml samples of different concentrate percentages and see how you get on.. start at say 10% and go from there..
Just remember that custard in particular needs a good steep to mature!

Thanks guys --- as I suspected I've also bought a little dripper to test out my concoctions
Gonna be a bit of trial and error
But that's half the fun of it
( and yes glentoran ... Just gotta add flavours )

WIth the LT concentrates, check which manufacturer they are. Tino D'Milano, Inawera and Wera Garden tend to be quite strong, e.g. the Kent concentrate is recommended to start at 1-2%, I use RY4 (Tino D'Milano) at 7% after trialling it between 5 and 10%, it really is down to your tastebuds, but I'd start with lower % flavours as you can always add a bit but can't take it back out again Must admit, LT is my first stop for concentrates, and very good value

Golden rule if it smells strong use less theres no turning back unless you dilute it even more which will mean you will have to re calc for nic lvl,2nd menthol once used in an atty it stays smelling of menthol and taste
