I have previously sent juice before but I was able to post it through the post box.
The other day I went to the post office to send something nothing to do with vaping. For the first time I was questioned as to what was in the parcel. The women said they have to now ask what the item is your sending.
Has anyone else come across this whilst actually sending vape gear/juice?
What do you say to them?

My post office is one of the worst I would say. They give you the third degree, and even refuse if they do not believe you. If it is liquid say it is food colouring/ flavouring/ essential oil/ makeup. I go with flavouring because I don't like to lie, and that it what it is really. If it is a tube type item say it is a vibrator, honestly would you question further?

There's no laws against vaping gear other than a limit to nic levels so no need to lie about it.

Just check what the correct price should be using the Royal Mail online price finder, buy the appropriate value of stamps and post it in a pillar box ... simples!

Lithium ion batteries are on the prohibited list Unless they are contained in a device, which is exactly what ego type batteries are. I understand you can also LEGALLY send 2 x 18650s, as long as you enclose a cheap diode or resistor in the package - up to 2 batteries to run a device can be sent with it

I've also heard of people sending them with a diode but tbh if they were checked I think they wouldn't be sent. You are allowed to send the batteries installed in the device plus two spares.

Mev and fred ... I know, the whole thing is ridiculous ... how can a package containing lion batteries be any safer if it is accompanied by a battery tube or an electronic component? ... total nonsense the lot of it. As I posted earlier, I just buy the correct value of stamps and stick it in the pillar box ... never had a package returned yet including the one that I posted to fred that only had a 50p stamp on it LOL

Ok thank you all for the input. I will just be honest. Not sure if I would have the guts to say it is a vibrator as I always find my post office is dead quiet so everyone will hear. Also not a good look on me being a bloke sending sex toys in the post

Also not a good look on me being a bloke sending sex toys in the post That is the best scenario Quiet post office, everyone will hear, believe me it will be stamped and on its way before you get out of the door If you do not feel comfortable using the word vibrator, you could say a personal massager. I would normally only ever tell the truth, and be very embarrassed if that meant saying certain things in public, but my village post office has got so bad they want details. I recently sent a non vaping item and they wanted to know everything about it, they asked about 8 questions, I now feel the only way with them is to make them squirm, as they go way above what they should ask.

Lol I like your style!! I will remember these tips for the future! It must be a bit intimidating being asked so many questions, I feel better now only being asked one!
These lies kind of remind me of the 'Why you was off work excuse'. That being you had diarrhea, they never seem to ask anything else after that !

Just checked the stamp, and it was a normal 2nd class. It's at least a large letter, and some post offices (including one of mine) would try and charge £3 for small packet. (Needless to say, I use the other post office now ) But its a beltin little dripper
