Please excuse me if i get any of the terminology wrong.
Been vaping for a few months now and have just recently done some upgrading of kit, so i'm now running and evod 1000mah battery and an ego 1300 battery and am using MT3's clearos. Well today i have just taken delivery of a lovely shiny protank 2. I am most definately no expert when it comes to coils and wicks though.
The protank 2 has come with 2.5 coils, which my brother tells me wont work to well on my batteries as there is enough volts. That was wasted on me with my lack of knowledge. I also bought with it a pack of 1.8 coils.
So protank2 filled, 1.8 protank coil in checked its tight, and screwed it all onto my evod battery and the only way to describe it is there is a lack of air flow, i really cant suck on it and get any vapour at all, to be honest my brother was lauging at me on web cam as as i was having to suck my cheeks right in and go red in the face to produce a very tiny amount of vape.
I really have no clue what the problem is or can be?
Now move on a while and i have now installed a MT3s coild into the protank and its working, but not sure the coils are suitable for the protank.
Please advise me as to what i maybe doing wrong as i am at a loss.
Thanks
PS just to add as it may help that my protank 2 came from myepack so its genuine.

Can't type too much as I'm on my phone but just unscrew the whole Protank a little and it should make the airflow a little better. Don't go too far or you'll lose the connection.

badbirdSimple simple simple to fix. The rubber grommet in the protank coil head is getting compressed sealing off the inside of the 510 connector. Two possible fixes. Unscrew the protank on the battery a bit so it just makes contact without compressing the rubber grommet. Problem is it can then be all floppy. 2nd fix which is harder. remove the atomiser from the base. Look at the grommet and using a very sharp knife shave of the sides of the rubber inline with the center contact. The when it swells from being compressed air can still get past it. Mind the coil wires and do not disturb them, and try cutting two flats 1st, if that is not enough try 4 slices and finally all the way round. I have found some a bit too airy when I try all the excess rubber off. You may find the 2.5 coil is fine when new with a straight battery. I was totally impressed with the amount of vapour when I 1st used and with a straight battery you do need to recharge the battery more often to keep the volts up for best performance. If you get dry hits, you can either unscrew the tank slightly to suck in an air bubble and retighten, or remove one of the wicks. Hope this all makes sense to you. p.s. I always use a 510/ego adapter and a beauty ring so can screw down to get the perfect airflow and then tighten the beauty ring to lock the protank in position. Great way of getting adjustable airfow. Also saves over tightening on a battery and permanently deforming the battery center contact insulator.

I found that it was better to unscrew the Pro tank half a turn to allow the air flow

Thank you all so much for your tips and advice. Im no puffing away on my Protank like a trooper with some yummy joose juice pineapple, i just lifted the battery pin on my batterys a bit and now have a truly champion device. i have to say the beauty rings are fantastic for making it look sleek and pretty like it should all belong together .Even though i do find it a little large. I'm glad to hear the Coils are universal as i have that many different packs i have purchased for each different kanger clearo i have i now dont have to worry about wrong coils in wrong tanks although i have methodially sticky labelled each pack for each clearo.
