I said something like "vixen your comments dont hold water" when she criticised e-cigs for being unhealthy and as far as I know was the last post before it was pulled.

By a slap do you mean a warning by eBay ? I've not been ticked of by them before so how would o know chrissie ? I've had no email from them

Yes Camper, a slap is an email giving you a warning for breaking the community board posting rules. One of those rules is that banned items can't be discussed.

Slap free happily Chris . . . although I did just check the email account to my posting id, to find that another 2 Ebay groups I was a member of have now closed.

I can't have been the only one that hasn't posted in them for months - although I do feel a bit guilty for not having done so.

Just hate the board/group format now.

There has been reports, especially on the next generation board, that folks for some reason aren't receiving their slaps so end up being banned without realising they are in trouble James the Pink seems to have given up posting on the next gen board & so has everyone else. Ebay no longer give a toss about the community - apart from the Answer centre - ie unpaid helpers that due to the format can't chat so just take over the role of customer service.

Perps, I also got an email today saying one of the groups I belong to is closing. Soon after the new format came in, we moved the group to the eBay US community. However, a couple of months back the US moved their groups to the new format, so we moved again to a Proboard I set up for them.

It's a bit of a mess then Chris, by the sounds of things . . . tbh, since starting vaping and getting involved in the Community/Forum side of it, I've barely looked at the Ebay boards . . . they're just too much like hard work for me.

Waste of time getting the feedback on a posting id, but heigh ho.

Some of the group closures are a great pity - but Ebay do so love to fix what isn't broken at times.

It's more than a bit of a mess IMHO Perpy As I posted on a couple of threads - eBay have been sold a lemon & should declare the new platform a SNAD! It's beyond me why Liveworld can't just add some basic codes to make the forums at least standard user friendly. I'm not a coder myself - far from it, but with the help of Proboard support, I can (fairly) easily change just about anything here - as long as I put the codes in the right place
