I was over Liverpool way recently and had the opportunity to visit two vaping shops (my first ) thinking they would be full of mods, vaping gear, tanks and general shiney things to buy .I was very disappointed to find both shops only sold ego blister packs and chinese juice, I thought i would be able to see and have the opportunity to buy all the fabled things i have read about on this forum but it wasnt to be .Plus in both shop vaping was being promoted as a way round smoking in shopping centers and that was it ..I was very disappointed by all this and think the two shops are wasting a great opportunity .I seemed to know more about the gear they had in the shops than the kids behind the counter which was a shame as i dont know a lot

Although the were'nt as "bad" I visited Smoking Angel in Cardiff earlier in the year and they were the same in the stock they held, they promoted Ego batteries with MT3 clearo's and they were fascinated with my TZmax and Evods. For a "mainstream" shop it makes sense to keep to a narrower range of products. Also you're going to get people jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick buck. That is why when you find a good shop/stall you should treasure it.

You need to find somewhere that started as an obsession - rather than As a commercial enterprise, all the best in the vaping world has risen from The army of enthusiasts, then copied by commerce, then improved by Individuals. Round it goes, ever upwards.

Most shops are catering to people who have zero idea about vaping. They get their ego battery and an stardust clerk and think that's all their is too it. Since the shop popped up here I've seen a huge amour of vapers but when you talk to them they have no idea what I'm using (usually a SID with a nova on). They don't want to know. They want things to be simple. So they're happy.
For those shop owners it's a business. For the ones into their vaping you'll find better equipment.

My local e-cig shop is staffed by 2 young girls who have never smoked in their lives They are there simply to sell the products on show and have no idea what they are talking about. They do have a few variations on the typical e-go style battery and clearos but in the main they push the 650mAh batteries with a small disposable CE4 clearomizer and a bottle of general standard tobacco juice. Yes, they do have some different flavours there for you to try out once you've bought your original standard kit. Jeeze I could run a shop a thousand times better than they could and justify to customers how flippin marvellous e-cigs are, and persuade them to buy the right kind of gear. I have this week converted someone over to e-cigs and she asked me to get her the appropriate kit (basically the same gear I am using) which I have now ordered for her and am awaiting delivery. She wants me to sit down with her and show her exactly how to set up everything as she has complete confidence in me because I am a user myself. Where's the confidence in going to a shop where the staff have never smoked in their lives
