Tried to remove the remants of some strong dark cherry juice from my Aspire BDC yesterday. Washed it under a hot tap and left to dry, then gave it a dry burn to see if the coils would glow. Pulsed it a dozen times but never got a glow so gave up. It's now useless - hardly any vapour and it pops and crackles a hell of a lot more than it did previously, but it still reads 1.8 ohms so a coil hasn't gone. Has anyone else tried dry burning one of these ?

I haven't tried oldleatherlungs for the simple reason that it would be impractical to open up the head to remove the dry ash from the coil and if left, it would simply turn into goo when eliquid next touched it

I just wash the heads in hot water and then blow out any remaining water (this is important as they hold a lot of water) and then leave in a cardboard container on top of a radiator for a day or two to let them dry out completely.
