Hello,
I've tried browsing around for the answer to this issue but cant seem to find it.
I got a mini protank that I'm using with a standard vision 1100 battery, I believe its the first one as it doesnt have the removable tip. I'm finding that despite it being a bottom coil the wick seems to go dry. I've tried priming it by covering up the 3 holes on the body of the tank and inhaling without activating the battery. That seems to work for a while but then the wick will go dry again.
I had thought with it being a bottom coil that the juice would just sit at the bottom and constantly soak the wick and I cant see what could block the way for the juice to sit down there. I have a vision victory as well and that has the wick soaking all the time so I always get a good draw out of it.
With the protank I'm finding I'm getting a burnt taste pretty often as the wick is dry.
Does anyone have any tips or solutions?
Cheers Dave

Sounds like too much wick and the coil is strangling it. Or there might be a flavour wick above the coil blocking the passages, try removing a little of the wick... I'm no expert though and I'm sure someone will come along shortly and correct me. Super-Shiny

It should be good ??? Do you have any more coils? You could try putting in a fresh coil and then come back and we'll tell you how to mod the underperforming one.

Thanks for the fast responses! It was supplied with a couple of 2.5 ohm coils so I had to order some 1.8's. In all I have tried 3 coils but seem to have the same problem each time. Have I maybe just got a duff unit?
Cheers

veinWell there's not much to go wrong really I have about 4 of these devices in various guises and they all work well. Occasionally you do get a "duff" head but you say you've tried all 3 with the same results...... beats me! (and not much vaping wise does) ???

I don't get dry hits with any of my protank mini's just using the standard coils that came with them but I haven't covered any holes maybe you aren't getting enough air to draw the juice down to the wick try unblocking the air holes see if that helps

Hi,
Nope all 3 holes unblocked. I'm wondering if the little grommet on the head is causing the blockage, possibly I'm over-tightening so when the grommet meets the unit it expands out and blocks the liquid from making it down to the wick.
Wick is soaking at the moment as I've given it a good prime and loosened off the connection a bit. I'll keep my eye on it and report back!
Cheers

It is quite possible to screw in a mini P head so tight that the silicone ring above the wick just squashes down too much.
