LOL..I thought so too at first.. Than looked again and it's the little piece next to the switch.. Ah I see, the vendor told me the strip down pick showed all the components from top to bottom starting from the right (bottom) to left (top), so if you are saying the item second from right is the ring then I would have thought it should have been second from left in the pic. Anyway now I know I'm getting all the bits I need all is good. Thank.

Its the thin shiny ring - can be hard to remove the first time as like the locking ring it is easily distorted by holding it too firmly and then it locks solid. you need to get it started turning without squeezing it on opposite sides.

You don't need a Kick ring if used in 18500 + kick mode. I need to use a kick ring plus the 500 tube on my genuine nem otherwise it does not fit.

You don't need a Kick ring if used in 18500 + kick mode. I need to use a kick ring plus the 500 tube on my genuine nem otherwise it does not fit. I guess it depends on: 1. The battery is a nipple or flat top. 2. How much you have to loosen the top connecting post to get your attachment to fit flush. 3. How much throw you can put up with. The Kick ring adds around 4 mm to the mod. Here is mine with a kick and a AW IR nipple top. The clones are a one to one copy so should work for the original too. At the end of the day 18490 + kick = 18650 size. It does look nicer with the Kick ring to add a bit of contrast.
