Just one month to go.

One month from now and I will have been vaping for longer than I ever managed to stay off the fags using any other means.

Before trying Vaping, I had been a smoker for 49 years. During the last 15 years of that, I had been trying, on and off, to quit smoking.

I tried Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture, NRT 3 times with different products, Zyban and finally after a Heart Attack, Champex.

The last time was back to the NRT Chewing Gum and I managed almost 18 months off the cigarettes.

I have never had any problems stopping smoking. That was the easy part. It was staying stopped that was the problem. Anytime something happened that put my laid back life out of kilter, it was to a cigarette that I would veer and ofcourse it was never just one or ten, but straight back on the smoking merry-go-round again.

Well over the past 17 months I guess my life has been more "out of kilter" than in, but I have never thought a ciggy would help.

Yes, on more than a few occasions I have upped the wattage or dug out my 36mg mix and used that for a few hours, but a ciggy? Nope.

So perhaps, just perhaps, for me, Vaping really is the answer to permanently stopping smoking.

The 18 month anniversary is the Biggy, for me.

I am only at 4 1/2 months after 33 years smoking. I tried all them methods and didn't ever stay off for a week.

Just thought ,you joined about same time as me Buddy, I must admit i drifted back to the cigs after 6months but now 5 weeks off the Fecking Things and just feeling the benifits again.

I am not crowing just yet and as I took delivery of an Itaste MVP yesterday, any signs of a pack of fags entering this house and Mrs Lobey would be cutting up my credit cards, but I do feel that this is it.
That Vaping really is the manna from heaven, the elixir of life, the answer to my nicotine habit that I just wish they had invented 20 years ago.

Lots of folks talk about the health benefits of changing over, but personally I do not see any within myself. Maybe there are and I just haven't noticed them.

But financially, well, that is a different story. Even the dammed Teller at the bank is beginning to ask me to think about opening a savings account! Blimey, I used to be in the Red more often than in the Black!

Oh, and I have not had to check or empty a single ashtray in the last 17 months. Now there's a bonus.
