The problem is Bazz our numbers,St Christophers can only accommodate 28 and is worried about smoke alarms in the basement,the day we could just wander in and take over a chunk of the pub is gone , we are 30-40 people now,I would like nothing better than to have a permanent home,it would make life much easier if I could just cut and paste every six weeks ,the reality is we are function room size and I have to find a place to fit the numbers,be happy with vaping and be in the right location for most,not easy when the response from 50 pubs comes down to just 4,but eventually we will get there no doubt.

mart166 the problem with Tattershall is it cost £300 and I raised £265 via raffle tickets with Ukecig-store fronting the rest,a lot of people bought 4 tickets just to help out too,so to me a bar limit is better,but it has to be the right bar limit

Heres an idea to kick around, how about an entry fee, say £10 for the first event, any balances could roll forward to next event reducing cost of entry, I suppose it depends on numbers, but that way it'd ease the costings, be even better if it was BYO booze, wine was £18 a bottle at Tatershall, we wnet through 2 bottles (greedy b******ds) so that saving would more than cover paying to go in.
I'll try and think of some suitable venues, there are a few around here but transports the problem, no tubes in this area. I think a close tube/railway station importent. I'll keep thinking.

Had a little look at local today, but cannot see anything useful, and Hackney is a bit restricted travel for those from out of town (as well as its reputation, which is not so grim these days).

Anyway during my searching I came up with page below, thought city might be good bet as its quiet Saturdays (more west city than east as that gets the hoxton/shoreditch trendy thing now). i'll try and look a bit closer, but times not going to be on my side this week, if anyone else wants a look please do, all these venues are a bus ride away from me, so no problem having a look at any in new year. (and of course i'll test the beer and wine for anyone just email me for my paypal details lol)

Vaping a bit edgy so we might be welcomed by the new denizens of east london, I certainly get into lots of conversations in our local.

Hi Mart,
This is part of the "pub and bar network" that has come up with the Tattershall Castle and the Prince of Wales Feathers. I think Alan is using it to scout for a Jan venue.
The City may be a good bet on Saturdays as it's quiet at the weekend.

I can't get through to that sitevon my mobile, just redirects me to a simplified page.
I think it refers to "Vypesocial", a pop-up vape bar that was only open in November. It was aimed at 20-30's, with speed dating nights etc. To market cig-u-likes. The staff in there hadn't seen anything like a MVP before. They wouldn't of hosted us unless we promised to use Vypes, I did consider it for the last meet, but it was a definite no-no. It was on Great Eastern Street, but has gone now.
There must be another one though.

Perseverence works seem like a great organisation, but they are only reporting on local events. The event was organised by Vype, owned by BAT. Just a publicity stunt to promote their product to young clubbers.
