because of earlier protest we are starting at 2pm

We are AAEC members with a common interest,that would like to meet and share these interests,we welcome other forums and e-cig users,we enjoy putting the faces to forum names,learning and helping each other with our hobby and also invite vendors to showcase their goods and let us know the new things happening in the vaping community

Whats news

This is out first meet of 2014 and before it starts there are Gatherings across the country at BBC establishments,this is to help make the media aware that we are no longer pleased with their silence and lack of concern for the injustices of regulations against us and our healthier alternative to smoking,of course nobody has to come to the BBC before the meet as they are two separate events,but I have decided to include the London gathering into our meet,this will be at Broadcasting house at 11am,after this we take a little walk and travel two stops by train to our venue,which is booked from 2pm,this will be the Star of Kings,in Kings cross,we have been given the back bar for our use.

If there is one, I'll be there - but the venues you mention sound a bit pricey (did I say "a bit"?). Licensed premises generally have been really hammered by the smoking ban, as we know, so I would expect there would be a social club somewhere who would be glad of the custom?

Ha ha everywhere has smoke alarms,by rights though we shouldn't set them off,sure no one was curing a hot spot or flaming in a mesh wick ?

900 bit pricey but then it means everyone spends an average of 25 quid and I know I do that,think the tapas is free but cant find a good piccy on google

Alan, why don't you do the LSE meets in the way of Come Dine With Me, to be, Come Vape with Me. You could do them at different people's houses to cut down on cost. Pretty sure Blownupdolly won't mind doing one as long as you don't all rummage through her drawers....

Oh I dunno... Nothing like a good old rummage now and again!

I doubt many people have a home big enough for around forty people though! What about places such as British Legion clubs? They would be much cheaper and and money charged would be going to a good cause I would presume, as they do stuff for old soldiers. Must be plenty of them in and around London. £900 for a place in Mayfair is way to pricey in my opinion, and I have a feeling we'd lower the tone bit bit!

£900 does sound a bit ott, but anything in London not going to be cheap. What about the Tattershall again ?

Just my opinion, but we been to La Tasca twice (2 different ones) and it was overpriced c**p.
