I've just fired off a few emails to peeps over here using e-cigs with a link to that article - they don't believe me when I tell them things are happening all over the EU with bans coming in and so forth. They just trundle along happily with their e-cigs thinking I'm the stupid paranoid one. It does annoy me. I've told them to get active and join this forum, but nah, they can't be bothered

Well if the ban is like the cigarette one ignored by some of the Spanish bars I've been to, there won't be a problem.

Off at a tangent, but there are restaurants in Germany where it is legal to smoke cigarettes in the bar area, if it's separate to the eating area. Discovered this by accident earlier this year on one of my long caravan jaunts.

How long ago was it that you saw people smoking in Spanish bars? Don't forget that the ban didn't come into Spain until around 2 years ago, well after the ban in the UK.

I can't speak for the bars on the Spanish mainland, but I've never seen anyone over here smoking in any bar since that ban came into effect
