Just enough filler so that it doesn't fall out - no need to cram it in.

As Clockworks has said Grant . . . plus if you do run really short of filler you can also use, from non vaping type outlets. A teabag - with the tea taken out obviously . . . this wicks quite well I found, although does go mushy after a short time. Aquarium fluval/foam, available from most pet/aquarium stockists. Wadding/Toy Filling - available from Crafting type shops which you may also have on the island. If everything failed, you could try modding your cart, to make it into a drip tip until you're able to order in proper supplies.

I was going to suggest the same as Perpy, especially re modding your cartridge to a drip tip. Or you could just pull out the stuffing from the cartridge & drip directly onto the atomiser.
Another thought is, have you tried washing the stuffing?

Grant I wouldn't just go sticking anything in their as at the end of the day you are sucking it up into your lungs and you don't know what vapours it will give off regardless of how stuck you are to buy any equipment out their. Personally I would remove all filler from you cartridge and just use the drip method, dripping a few drops in the atomiser as and when required. I'm no big fan of any sort of filler that comes in these carts even from the manufacturer so just sticking any old stuff in their is a big no no in my books. A few months after I started vaping I was getting constant sore throats after using carts with filler in them and at the time I was experimenting with a few different types of filler then I came across a few story's of different types of bugs living in it so it put me right off, I don't want this to sound like a bit of a horror story but just be carefull what your using.

The options I suggested are not 'any old stuff' rest assured Grant, they're tried and tested alternative fillers used successfully by countless vapers. . . I've no doubt you'll experiment yourself and find a method that suits you best.
Some vapers experience 'symptoms' using a PG or VG heavy juice, everyone is different with everything available in the vaping world.

Sorry it wasn't meant to demean what you said it was just about my personal experiences and I didn't want him to get the wrong idea on what you can use. I'm very anti filler but that's just me

Thank you for your reply's, Although it is very thoughtful of camperman about filling your lungs with something maybe we shouldnt, We all have been doing that for years!!! with the faggy's, well I presume most people on this forum are ex tobacco smokers and all the other stuff that is put into the cigs,!! But thats no reason th carry on filling our lungs with harmful stuff now we all have stopped!! Anyway point taken, so I have used the old cartridges that had the strawberry flavor in and refilled them with the new e-juice I got sent from the mainland from a supplier that ve Jason found me,thank you very much, the strawberry capsules were sealed with a foil seal and as it is pierced by the atomiser i noticed it had the thinest layer of filler behind the foil, different set up to the carts on my wifes e-cig which I now know is a joye 306, anyway, I found the strawbeery carts were difficult to fill with my new juice, so I cut the foil completly off and pushed some filler in from the carts I had from joye, but how much of the cartridge that you fill with the juice shoud have filler in it, should it be say a half or quarter etc, Im still messing around with it and some days it works great, other days I cant seem to get to work aswell and it seems to be where the filler is etc, if the cart when put on pushes the filler to far back it doesnt work for long, I realise you can mess around, it does seem tempermental, are they all a bit tempermental??. Anyway, I still havnt missed or craved for a faggy now and havnt had 1 for 1.5 weeks, so I mustnt grumble, on the whole Im so pleased with the e-cig . But the abbreviations on here puzzle me, the link to the abbreviations doent seem to work, or didnt the last few times I tried, but ive not tried today, so what is an Iatty, and what is pg and vg . All the best happy NO SMOKING Grant

Sounds liek your havign a right time of it there Grant, and very well doen you on sticking with it through all the problems. If it's going this well with all these problems, imagine how good it's gonna be when you get back and can get everythign you need The Iatty is way beyond my understandign as yet, but pg and vg are the types of glycerine used in the juices, vg = vegetable gycerine and pg = a word I cant spell glycerine lol (sry thast not very useful) pg gives more throat hit and vg more vapour. That's some very badly explained information for you lol I think I'll stick with the well wishing in future lol GL Grant

The filler needs to be at the open end of the cart, so that it's touching the mesh in the centre of the atomiser. It's normal for the filler to get pushed back, even with new carts. When I was using carts, I carried a pin with me, and every time I filled the cart with juice, I teased the filler right down to the open end.
Many people give up with carts, and move on to cartomisers, clearomisers or tanks, or just drip the juice straight onto the atomiser.
An Iatty is a model of rebuildable atomiser, made by Imeo, "the golden Greek". PG and VG are the two main types of base liquid that are used in juice - short for propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine (or something very similar). It's the carrier liquid that the nicotine and flavour is added to, and it's what actually makes the vapour.

Lol Jemima & Clockworks. How do you store your ejuice Grant? Being in sunny climes, you may want to keep it in the fridge, if you don't already, as heat will cause the liquid to go off.

Just checked out the link to the abbreviations & Grant is right, it isn't working If anyone can help with posting a new/updated abbreviation thread, it would be so much appreciated.
