At long last I've given them a try & so far I'm very impressed. I'm using a prefilled 808 with a 901 to 808 adapter (both bought from Health Cabin) on my GG Grant. I'm getting tons of warm vapour & a very similar throat hit to when using 5v, even though I'm only using a 3.7v battery The draw is very similar to the 510 & I must admit that I still prefer the tighter draw I get from a 901. I do wonder though if some of that is down to the shape of the mouthpiece?

See, Chrissie, why I've been so anxious to get good ones? I've just been trying to find "My refilling trick" thread on ECF but it's not in the 808 subforum and I can't find it. If anyone posts in it I will be notified but all the old emails have expired I also wonder if the mouthpiece shape affects the draw quallity. My preference is for chunky whistle-type, but that would be difficult for the cartomiser. I've just tried my Cappuccino-prefilled one with Amy's adapter on my SD, and it's working better than the last one I bought with Imeo's adapter (which cost 4 times as much!), but not as well as the first one I had and used with Creator battery. It's still a bit airy and flavour is not pronounced. Mary Kay uses a particular American model which is very well spoken of. I'm hoping you will now find lots of tips and tricks and pass them on. It's not that I'm lazy but you know I don't see things :-[ scylla x

Scylla, I've got to admit that by this morning, I've come to the conclusion that I so much prefer the 901 to the cartomisers. Don't get me wrong, they are very convenient & you get a lot of vape with them. But apart from the draw that I'm not too keen on, I actually miss the faffing It's become such a routine of dripping a couple of drops on an attie & a few more into a cart that I feel a bit lost with the carto

I found that one, it was the centrifugal force one I was thinking of - it started out with someone using their neck holder, swinging it around - then peeps were cutting off glove fingers, all sort of things. Apparently you can get a lot of juice in like that.
I've just refilled my carto, set it to rest, and gone back to 901 - which I'm having to use with the adapter because I can't unscrew it, even if I hold it with a piece of rubbery fabric. I have to find some pliers to use with the fabric.
I always said that the adapters needed to be longer, there's bugger-all to grip except the sharp threads, and besides, cartos need an extension from the body of big e-cigs, IMO.

Scylla, the Taryn spin method is also shown on that video ^^^^ Oh no Mines the other way round. When I unscrew the carto, the adapter unscrews with it (that's when unscrewing it with my GG) Just tried it on the SD & got my adapter stuck on that as well

I'm loving tlhe cartomizer on my GGS (thanks Chrissie) and much prefer the round carts to the whistle type as I like the lighter draw they provide.
The cartomizers Lisa had in stock were Ry4, 24 strength and come in ciggy end colour - the GG looks as though I have a fag stuck inside it (photo in the Great Seller thread). I also quite like the taste of the cartomizer; it's a bit like an unlit Dunhill 'cork tip' flavour.

Glad you like them Foxy.
BTW, the condom method of refilling them is really easy & they last a long time before needing to be refilled again.

PMSL Foxy Many years ago there was a bit of a creepy bloke always sitting at the bar of my local. Whenever he saw me, either when I was in the pub or walking down the street, he used to yell "Oh look it's Kissy Chrissie". He was called Domonic so I got my own back by always calling him Con Dom

Lol @ Chrissie - nice come-back! I've just ordered 2 x 5pc prefilled cartomizers from Health Cabin, in stainless steel for £12.34 delivered; can't be bad! I shall save them for 'posh' so the GG will be admired when out and about. I checked out the refilling vid - very helpful and will save loads of fiddling about. I'll need to be careful when using the sling shot method however as windows are expensive to replace. Fox

Foxy, When i did my bulk order with HC (enough for free postage), I paid in USD's & the Paypal conversion rate made them only £3.69 for 5. I also bought 5 of the 510 soft tip cartomisers for only a few pence more - not got round to trying those yet. Lol re using the sling shot method

I really wanted to go for a bulk order but was worried about getting bitten by customs on anything over eighteen quid with I think is the 'limit' allowed from outside the EU (ie: Prof's recent experience).
I'm rather testing the water if you get my drift.

I was stung by Customs when a friend of mine in USA sent me a gift (a painting she had done of my back garden when she came to visit a couple of years ago..) Since she didn't know any differently, she put the value of it at over $50. It cost me £29 to collect it from our local, miles away really, depot. I think (when I am able..I relish those infrequent moments..) that maybe now would be a good time to make bulk orders from China, before we are criminalised (lol) and HMRC begin to investigate the quantity of stuff being ordered from there... You can be sure Lynda that the powers that be will have every avenue covered. It's Murphy's Law that, at present, my favourite vape is manufactured under stringent conditions in the UK!! Fox >
