Yes, you got it spot on Raff. The entire family have it sussed. If they want anything from me they get the princess to ask!

Ironically, on NYE, in the afternoon I got a phone call from said princess..... "Nannyyyyyyyy.... Can I come stay tonight and we can make chocolate coins?" ... " noooo, sorry bubs, I am going out tonight"

She takes a deep intake of breath and yells......... " MUMMMM!! You can't go to the party coz nanny is going out"

After what happened I would have been better off babysitting!

If I am honest the thought did briefly cross my mind, but it knew it would be a very stupid idea to take a 6yr old there. The thought makes me shudder. I said to my daughter that I would have been hysterical had she been with me.

You'd have moved heaven and hell to make sure she was safe, and she would have had no idea how terrified you were, although she might have said after that she had never seen you so angry.....

You wouldn't have fallen apart until you were all safe again....

seniorphil and lairey have either of you heard back from your emails yet? I know it's only a day gone by but all I have so far is an automated receipt of email from Boris office saying it will be answered within 20days. Nothing from Vodafone yet.

Nothing yet, despite the automated response that said I'd hear back within 24hours, about 30+ hours ago! Will be sending another email in the morning (when I'm not slightly squiffy). Absolutely disgusted that they haven't sent a response yet! Although I'm pretty certain their PR department are having kittens and making sure no-one says anything at the moment, until they have decided how best to cover their arses!

You are probably right. I emailed that Vittorio guy, the CEO. Is that who you contacted?

Dolly,

You've done the right thing by contacting Vodapain and Boris.

The fact that they haven't prioritised your emails suggests that you don't owe them any more courtesy.

I would probably be going directly to the press now whilst the events are still fresh in peoples' minds.

True Lynda. I will give it till Monday and fire off copies to the media.

Whilst driving home from Sainsburys, the Sam presenter that was on air NYE was standing in for someone else this evening and again mentioned how whilst many people had said they enjoyed NYE, there also people saying how unsafe they felt. Didn't mention any of our names but as a collective group. I think I will write him again as it's obviously stuck in his mind.

No, It was joroen someone... the UK CEO (his names in my earlier post, cant copy and paste it for some reason).  On the vodafone website, they have a link to leave feedback...

I haven't contacted the press yet. I was trying to be naively optimistic in awaiting a prompt response which meant I wouldn't need to. Silly me, for thinking that. As I just said to Lyn, I will fire some off Monday. I have grand kids staying this weekend so my brain will be more scrambled egg than usual!!

I've been trying to find out if Boris has a "Mayors Public Questions" session soon. As I would like to ask him his opinion without him being able rehearse a response. The sessions are recorded and web-cast as well. Their website is down at the moment, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Boris has done a fair few LBC phone ins too. I listen regularly, so will keep an ear open to see if there is another any time soon
