calling all android tablet users...

Is it just me???

I really don't like the proboards ap, so have been using the forum through the internet.  Anyway, whenever I quote a previous reply in mine, if I type a word beginning with the letter "I" it jumps to elsewhere in the quoted part and starts inserting the text there... it's more than a little annoying! Also, with my predictive text, the suggested words appear above the keyboard,  and if I select any of those it does the same thing. 

And... I can't get the smilies to work,  they come up if I select the icon,  but I can't select any of them...

I'm using a Samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1,  and this is my only gripe, but considering the amount of time I spend here,  it's more than trivial for me...

Any ideas how to rectify any of these annoyances?

Sorry I don't have a solution.
It sounds similar to the problems I have on my Android phone. I will watch to see any answers.

Have you tried a different keyboard downloaded from the app store? Perhaps one may work better than the standard

From what I've read, using proboards in mobile view or the proboards app stops any of the site plugins from working, much better switching to desktop view IMO

You've peeked my interest a little (computer geek alert) so will have to see how my cheap ass generic tablet behaves.
Might take me a while to comment further on it though since I will probably end up tinkering. . .

Just thought I'd check. No jumping for me. I'm using Google keyboard on android 4.0.3 and your tablet should be running at least 4.2 so reckon it must be down to the keyboard input, it might have settings on it for shortcuts that might be interfering with the proboards app.

I don't really like any sites in mobile mode, and nearly every site I use in desktop on my mobile. Proboards is ok to view in desktop, but when trying to post I get the screen jumping around, I can rarely select the text box and when I can it will delete anything I have already inserted. I can post text(like this post) in mobile view, but cannot add pictures etc.
The only way I have found to do posts with pictures is to go to desktop view, choose bccode view and add the pictures, then post that without any text. Then go to mobile view and edit that post, adding the text.
This only happens on proboards. I am a member of 9 non-ecig related, and 4 ecig forums, and proboards is the only one I have trouble with.
It's only because your such a lovely bunch that I persevere, and friends and work mates have got used to me screaming out profanities at random.

It looks like If I type too quickly, I get random jumping around the text box. By slowing things down and trying not to use too many words beginning with the letter I things are a lot less problematic.  One may have to start referring to ones self a la Queenie

The app is a bit naff ain't it, for me messages don't work, nor favorites and most images don't show up.
Also crashes etc.
Sometimes just use internet app in mobile or desktop mode but prefer app for viewing recent stuff, just sucks can't website with tapatalk!

Can't be doing with the Proboard app either if I'm using my tablet Lairey . . . though I don't get the random text insertion on quotes, but I can get it on occasions using my laptop. ???

I can get smilies, but I don't have the scrolly bar to go down to some of the newer additions.

I can get the smilies to come up Perpetua, and move around to see them all, they just don't work... I tap on them and nothing
