There's probably little point in replying as your bound to playing the coiling game by now.

Early days but all cleaned (there was swarf round the centre post), loads of oily nastiness in the ultrasonic cleaner. First microcoil at 1.4 ohms with cotton and vaping like a train. Does have a teeny bit of the whistle that some report but not loud, probably would have been worse with the swarf left in though. Does not appear to be leaking either, but then I took it completely apart and reassembled so everything should be sitting nice and snug. Good buy, the second one from the boxing day sale will have been an even better buy !

Doesn't look to bad either (not the drip tip that came with it though).

Where you get that cotton from buddy , looks interesting aint been around the forums for a while are many people using that The cotton came from ebay, 100% cotton naturally. Just search in the knitting section. Its the latest thing. People have been using cotton for wicks and only recently did hifistud get hold of knitting cotton to try out since it is already nicely processed and shaped for easy coil building. He talked about it on VTTV and it works a treat so I thought I'd give it a bash. He got Rico Essentials stuff in a couple of sizes from hobbycraft if you have one near you and the two types he's played with are - www.hobbycraft.co.uk/rico-fashion-summer-white/585331-1000 and www.hobbycraft.co.uk/rico-essentials-dk-yarn-white/585333-1000I bought from ebay since I don't have a hobbycraft in my town.

A note about the tobeco Kayfun Lite. Yup their factory must have been banging these out in a hurry to fill the christmas bubble in sales. It has not been quite as well finished and has a fair bit of swarf in the airflow system so anybody getting one needs to completely disassemble and check it and remove all the swarf and smooth edges. The build is still solid though, identical to the first I got except for the colour of the o-rings and since this was the one I got in the sale for half price I aint complaining.

vereybowring if you ain't too worried about an airy draw, remove the air flow grub screw completely and the whistle goes with it.

My first one didn't whistle much at all after I removed the swarf, but the second I'm going to do some light work on to neaten it up a bit since I know it will whistle coz the centre post holes are not very neatly done.

Interestingly the cotton yarn seems to be better for flavour than the straight cotton wool. . .
