T-Juice Minty The Toff Q

Out of the 7 T-Juices I've tried this is by far my favourite, so much so that I've just put an order in for a 30ml concentrate bottle as its becoming my All-Day-Vape. 

What I was wondering is, I made up my 1st batch of 5x T-Juice concentrates in 5ml, tried them all out, loved MTT and then mixed up 30ml. I get the feeling that the 5ml tester was more 'toffee with mint' whereas the 30ml seemed 'mint with toffee' ???

I don't mind but I'm curious as I wondered if I did the 5ml tester at 15%  and 30ml at 20% ( I'm not sure if I did or I didn't .. ..) and if I did - would that effect its taste? (ie if I tried mixing at 15% would I get more toffee taste or would I just get a general all round weaker flavour? )

Because I didn't think to shake the concentrate vigorously before use, could the toffee flavour part have been more at the top of concentrate bottle and mint more in the lower half? 

Also, I thought at first that the mint flavour would come through stronger and after longer steep, the toffee would come through (based on mints not needing much steeping  time, and toffees being better after 3 week) but even after 3 weeks the mint seems prevalent. As I say, I still like it regardless but wondered if my tastebuds and memory deceive me <<or am I just weird....>>

Both flavours would be enhanced if you gave a stronger percentage, I would hazzard a guess at a different PG/VG level as the reason. Higher PG might bring out more mint and higher VG might make the Toffee/caramel more prominent, or vice versa.

Also not shaking the concentrate might factor.

ahh that's an idea Balllsy (not that I've ever bought the ready made so I don't know if its minty with toffee or toffee with mint.. ) but I could try different pg/vg ratio? I mixed both at 60/40 so the guesswork is what to mix at to see if taste is different.

But as I have 30ml concentrate coming, the world is my oyster!! thanks for idea

Its weird because I keep suspecting that I preferred toffee WITH mint......even though mint with Toffee is still very nice and then I wonder if I'm just imagining it

I know that T-juice mix all their stuff at 80/20 pg/vg which astounds me as the vapour production from their juices is excellent. I would have guessed it to be more like 50/50 but I'd be wrong

For my tastebuds there has never been enough mint but the strength of toffee was bang on the money.

I've bought premixed minty the toff to try and I'm finding it a bit tasteless, should I steep it?

I'd probably give it a week tmg, I've not made any up from concentrate, but the sample I got at Vapefest was yummy several weeks later when I got round to using it.

Lovely toffee, with a hint of mint which suited me perfectly.

Ummm, why not just get one toffee concentrate and one mint concentrate and then mix to your own preference, more mint or less mint - more toffee or less toffee. I'll just get me coat

Thanks Perpetua, I shall put the lid back on and tuck it away for a while, if I forget where I've put it, it'll be a nice surprise when I find it lol

Have been dwelling on that, but the only toffee I have is 'english toffee' TPA and on its own its harsh...am looking into getting it more creamy otherwise I've two useless bottles (adding 5% caramel didn't do the trick) Unless I can tweak it, a harsh toffee with strong menthol will be grim on my tastebuds

You got any DDL Pepperty? That should make the toffee lovely & creamy

Dulche De Leche? -- no, it'l be on my next order as I was thinking it might add creaminess and rescue toffee for me.. if thats what it does, it'll probably be overused in my mixes!
