I came back to use my Igo L the other day and it did not work. Checked the Ohm's on my Vamo and it read 9.9 meaning it is shorting some where.
So tonight I rebuilt it, still shorting out. I put a pre made coil I had and it is still shorting out.
It seems what ever I do I just get a reading of 9.9 ohms.
I have had this Igo L for a while and have rebuilt it successfully countless of times.
I am puzzled! I am starting to think that maybe it is the Vamo and not actually the Igo L, how to test that I do not know. I did not fancy firing the Igo L on a Mod just for any risk there actually is a short.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Timbo

If you get a small screwdriver you can try and gently lever up the centre pin on the vammo It is a common problem with them

You could always use a mulitmeter to check the igo build, chuck another attie or carto on the vamo to check that. If both work fine then like gordy says its a connection issue with the ig and vamo.
If the centre pins arent connecting you could always prise the centre pin up a bit on the vamo, just a smoodge and be gentle, you dont wanna pop it out and kill your vamo.
Here a vid on how to check resistance of an atty using a multimeter

Well that was the most simplest fix I have ever done! I literally touched the Vamo pin and boom it works!
Thanks a lot for the info.

And the problem is back again Last time I just literally touched the Vamo pin and it worked. Now im moving it so much im worried im going to break it. I am now convinced it is the Igo-L. I have noticed the centre pin is flush with the threads. I have tried to lower it but not much success.

Well that worked. For anyone else who has this problem. I noticed the pin on the Igo - L was flush with the thread. I got a small file and took only a smidge off the sides so the pin protrudes just a little.
