I also like the MVP. It lasts 3 days for me . If you feel it is too big or unusual, then the iTaste is similar in features.

I smoke about ten cigarettes a day. Therefore I am not a heavy smoker. Therefore I MVP lasts a day for someone heavy it may last 2 days for me .

Therefore if the MVP is too too big then I am open to other recommendations

When you buy a kit it will not come with juice, you have to buy that separately.  

You will need to know what strength and what flavour you want - do you?

If you go for an MVP2, then it will come with 1 iClear30 clearomiser, which is what you fill with liquid.  It would be advisable to get a second.

If you do not like the look of the MVP, then a 1300mah Vision Spinner would last most people a good part of the day at least, it depends how much you use it throughout the day.

If you can't find anything there, keep looking.

Just don't go and buy either a super-cheap kit from a bad vendor or a kit that seems "incredible" from a slick website with lots of testimonials.

There are plenty of highly professional outfits selling rubbish stuff for far too much money.

Don't be put off by the terminology, a read of the guide already linked above will answer a great many questions.
Basically you need four things to get you started:-
1) a battery - the higher the mah rating the longer it will last, but the longer it will take to charge. A fully discharged 1300mah battery will take 3-4 hours to fully recharge, although you can use it at half charge, you won't do any damage.
2) something to put your juice in. Suggestions are Mini Protank, Protank, iClear 16, iClear 30, iClear 30s, to name a few. The atomiser heads come in different ohm ratings - the lower the resistance the more flavour and throat hit you will get. 1.8ohm is low, 2.5ohm is high.
3) e-liquid, or juice. More flavours than you could shake a stick at from a plethora of vendors. Juices come in a variety of strengths, from 6mg )low) to 24mg or higher. I would suggest that 18mg would be plenty strong enough for you.
4) Charger - you need something to charge your battery with. If you buy a kit from the likes of Myepack or Vape Escape for instance, they will usually come complete with charger, if you buy a single battery you will need a suitable charger too.

Having said all that, you will also need backups - spare clearomisers (clearos), spare battery or batteries, and a spare charger (the one you get first of all WILL fail at some point in the future, but may last a year or more).

Please dont hesitate to ask questions, we will give you as much advice as we can, and we have all been where you are now, so know how hard it is to understand all the names and descriptions. Give us as much info as you can - links to products, retailers names, etc. - and we will advise you whether it is a good deal.
