I have too much nic base to just stop siffy. Now I know how long it lasts I should have stuck to buying just the one litre and not two. Well I can see what you mean..lol I think that's what put the brakes on me buying the eRoll you know, because deep down I knew I was heading to zero and putting the PV away. Mind you I still spent the money..lol Clarins had a buy 2 items get 3 (from a choice of 10 products) free offer, with my name written all over it....wink....

At least you have mor to spend on the things you want now and can treat yourself I don't think I will give up vaping though as I do enjoy it most of the time. However my pv isn't glued to my hand like it was in the early days.

What I have loved about vaping (although I didn't realise it at the time) is has helped me sort things out in manageable sections. Dealt with the chemicals first...got the nicotine part done with, just the habit to do then done. Like I say I'm not too ashamed to use a cut down straw if need be...lol...

Well done, siffy, on achieving what you want. I vape zero sometimes, but happy on 5/6mg.

Well done siffy. And as you say, everybody is different. Perhaps nicotine effects different people, different ways. I tried to stop smoking many times in the 15 years before I changed to vaping and found the stopping bit the easy part, with the aid of various NRT products. It was the staying stopped part that was impossible. Nicotine, for me, is a strange chemical. Stopping using it is simple. However, when I stopped and when something happens in my life and that something triggers a craving for nicotine, and this happened eventually, every single time, nothing but nothing else would do but to have a fag. I would have trampled anyone to death if they had got between me and that nicotine fix. I have now been vaping for 18 months and during that time have been through some seriously upsetting times, but vaping has seen me through with a clear head and I have handled all of the problems. However a few months ago I too tried to cut down on my MG levels. Oh not a lot, but reduced them from 24mg to 20mg and within a week I was dreaming and then craving cigarettes. As soon as I started vaping on some 24mg that I still had, both the dreams and the cravings disappeared. Clearly 24mg is my vape and there I will stay. Many folks stop smoking using NRT products but fewer than 5% are still off smoking two years down the line. So, I say, good luck to all of you who are cutting down your MG Levels, but do us all a huge favour! Come back two years from now and tell us how you are doing. That will be the proof of the pudding!!!

That will be the proof of the pudding!!! To be fair though many are still maybe romancing the idea of an actual cigarette, not nicotine in it's own right? By that I mean natural nicotine and not the freebase shite in cigarettes. I am only speculating of course but at least now people can get that endorphin rush (deep in breath, hold, deep out breath) from zero nicotine liquid if it gives them comfort. I will, as you say, come back and let you know how I am doing of course.

Well done siffy - just keep that PV handy, so you don't need to resort to stinkies in times of need. Just about to get a mix on, so the question is, should I do some science (the Eurocrats, mhra, BMA, etc dont need to!) and do a 0mg mix, to see what happens ... ... ... As lobeydosser said, please don't disappear from our lives, but keep popping in to let us know how your doing, and to see how we're all doing

Am just over joyed, tbh, that it is now that I would reach for and not a cigarette. Feels like a release from a mental prison, you know. I will stick around too just incase anyone needs someone to bounce off if they are worried about going zero. Try a zero Fred...I dare ya.....lol

hi guys.. only my second post here.. i did post in teh begginners section.. ive jist read all two pages here of siffy commin of the NIC..ive been smokin stinkies fur 40 years,, an now today ave been vapin 3 weeks without any stinkies,, am confused to all the tanks out there an the battery bits were there more volts runnin thru it an such like. but my concern is the now,, how do i know what Nic level i m needin,, i was smokin nae jokin amber leaf, probably around 15 rollies a day. since chuckin the tobac.. ive tasted a few juices on teh market..in the first 4 days i was on a Virgina gold i bought from the internet , an only found out after i found my nearest stockist shop, that i was smokin no nic but only juice.. an really that sufficed.. but then I bought some American red tobac.. fae totaly wicked... i did vape onit a few times then thought it was a bit strong..it had 11mg nic in it.. so i now mix a wee bit wi the likes o bubblegum an maybe a drop of menthol an the likes,, jist playin around with it trying to get a good taste.. but again in all honesty, when a was smokin, it was amber leaf an that was that... i did enjoy a smoke, but really it left a foul taste in ma mouth,, so now wi the option fur a better taste,, im mixin ma cocktails...
only two days ago i sent away fur 30 different samples of of 1mg. but boastin around the 11 mg nic, how will i know when I need more Nic or less.?? cheers

Firstly, well done siffy, I remember you having a tough time of it way back when you first started reducing your nic level. To now here you are proper off it, and happy, is great news. I'm sure you will be fine, and you can always have a sneaky vape if you feel you need it. And virtually guilt free. This is what I like so much about vaping. Afk40, your body will let you know about your nic level. If your tasting your juice too strong, your probably vaping too much nic. On the other hand, if your vaping 20ml a day, and are still dreaming of a rolly, your too low. I find 3-4 ml per day with no craving feels right to me. That's at around 18 mg for me though. But I started on 36 mg, so already halved my nic. And dropping slowly still.
