I'm in Staffordshire Moorlands, one of those green welly peeps Although I wouldn't mind seeing what Essex is like, some beautiful countryside there I believe?

Wanted to put a smiley with some flowers on for you but it just said 'flowers'..not quite the same!

Hi again djs,

Don't think I can as it was just the flavours that were on the Yoyo but if I had ordered them separately I would have had to pay postage on each one I think and didn't want to risk it. Can I ask though why you dislike them so much? Just out of curiosity?

(By the way I tried their Cherry flavour and it was very 'chemically' tasting.

Just to get this straight on what you purchased.

You got Platinum Ice Nic Base ( was this PG or VG based ) ?
You got flavourings ( most likely PG based )
You got VG dilutent

If your Platinum Ice was PG based, you should be OK

Depends on what nic percentage the Platinum Ice was you purchased too and what nic target mg you want to vape

My reason for saying you may be ok is that I rarely add any PG dilutent - I just tend to use my 72mg PG nic base, flavouring(s) and VG Dilutent and I end up around 50/50 or 60/40

I had Plat Ice 54mg I think? Definitely the lower one and PG based, I thought if the nic had PG in it already I was ok?  Am I to take it then that if it is a higher mg nic it will have more PG in it?

The TW site states that you need just 3 things so that's what I ordered.  I did look to check but could see no mention of possibly needing 4?  The site is a bit hard to navigate sometimes as the info isn't all at the top..you have to click on things and stumble across the info you need!  Thanx for all your help though I don't feel so alone and muddled up now.

TW site is very hard to get around and very expensive but you have ordered pg nic base vg and flavouring if you use 1.5 ml flavouring 3.33ml nic base and 5 ml vg you will get 10ml 18mg at 50/50. If you want any other strength or vg/pg split you will need pg as well this is used by a few people on here www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIKOOL-MPG-MONO-PROPYLENE-GLYCOL-PHARMA-GRADE-BETTER-THAN-FOOD-GRADE-99-/370749387759?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_Supplies_ET&var=&hash=item565262b3ef you could buy a small bottle and see how you go before getting a larger size but the larger size 1litre size is much cheaper. There is a very good mixology section on here so have a read through. Welcome by the way and well done on quitting the stinkies

fieryjax - well done on your intro to vaping and mixing your own! babs and others have given you some good advice, but if you want to get a good mix you will probably need some PG at some point.
Most juice contains flavouring, VG, PG and nic base (which is normally PG based too). If you are looking for a 50/50 PG/VG mix (PG gives better flacour and throat hit, VG give more vapour), you will need PG to equal things out to the percentages,as you won't be using that much nic base and the flavouring are not huge, even though they are PG-based.
Chrissie suggested you try the calculator, and I agree. If you aren't sure what percentage of PG/VG to go for, try 50/50 first and then take it from there. It gives the best of both worlds. Of course, it depends to a certain extent on what %age of flavour you want to use - most of us mix at 15-20% but this is dependent on our own tastes, and yours too. You can always add more flavour but you can't dilute it without losing nic strength.
Before you buy any more gear, either hardware or mixing supplies, please ask here as we will be able to point you in the cheapest and most reliable sources - TW do have a reputation for using bog-standard and not very good items, rebranding them, and then charging through the roof for them

Have a good read through the mixology board, particularly the beginners guides to mixing and starter kit. Also a good read is Grizwald's guide

It all seems very daunting at first, but as long as you take your time, it really is much simpler than you think.

Aww what a shame. Way too far to pop over with some LOL. yes we live in the lovely countryside part of Essex. Thank you for the thought of the flowers.
I am not sure if there's a vaping shop near you, but somewhere on this site is a map of where all the vape shops are in UK. I am in a hurry to take husband to work right now, but if no one else finds it for you I will look later.

fieryjax as babs has pointed out, you may well be fine with the solutions/liquids that you already have and may not need to get any separate PG then and still end up with a 50/50 mix

You can if you want grab 500ml of PG off ebay for around a fiver or so and it will last quite some time and allow you to produce higher PG (thus throat hit) mixes.

There is bound to be somewhere within driving distance for you. Most of us tend to avoid Totally Wicked. There's plenty of other good quality vendors out there that charge a lot less for their wares.
