Just bought a new MOD...

7 watts is fine for dual coils though. I have no issues at all with vaping away dual coils at 7 watts. I'm usually up around 10 watts now with the DC's, so it doesn't bother me.

Might reduce my nic next batch I make though. Pretty sure these more powerful mods and attys are sooooooo much fun, I'll end up over niced at 20mg, lol.

Well, a whole days vaping on it done. 9-10 watts with a 2.2 Ohm head in my Aspire. Burned through at least 1 tankful in the Aspire, and a little amount in my Taifun GT and Kayfun 3.1 that I rebuilt (non microcoils, so both around the 2 ohm range).  Battery has lasted the day, no problem (Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh), looks to be around 1/4 left.  Tomorrow though will see the Sony SE US18650VTC4 2100mAh put in, and they were bought to stay with this device.

Pretty happy with the Kayfun though, although it's a clone. Might have to re-coil my Russian 91% and give it another go...

That's a guitar body I'm working on but I've got more, you can either use one thick piece and drill it out or I've got some that's like 1/2 inch thick, could file it out and make two halves and have it glued together or be able to open.

I'll certainly consider that, but there was an actual plan for the plastic one. But a real wood one would also be VERY nice. But I already have a couple plans, lol.

Could be doable though.  Especially if the chinese "clone" DNA board is any good.

Well, after a few days with this, and with my new mods (Kayfun 3.1 and Taifun GT clones), I realise why people say they have to reduce their nic content with these devices. I am certainly gonna try much lower nic content in my next mix as they are just hitting so hard.

Nice choice on the mod.  I do think I prefer my fire button, as seems to be the consensus over on UKV, but I think you'd be waiting a while for that button again, lol.

It looked nice in the picture. Wasn't so nice when it turned up though. Screen and usb port were both wonky and so it went back the same day! Was shocked to say the least!!

Refund has been issued but is pending until Thursday 13th Feb for ome reason (paypal reckon he's done it by echeque).. to say I'm pi$$ed off is an understatement! Seems he doesn't like his work being scrutinised!

Luckily for me my mrs has bought me an old rusty which will hopefully be here in the next 7 hours..

Anyway, I have knocked my nicotine down from 24mg to 18mg since I got my kayfuns and I still get nic sick if I chain vape.. I run everything with the same setup as I've found it gives me the best vape..

4 strands of 0.15 kanthal twisted. 7 wraps around 18guage needle. Gives 1.5ohms.

I then do a cotton navy nest in my kayfuns and expromiser, and wrap the cotton 1/2 way around the base in the dream.

I then just tailor the vape with different wattages throughout the day.. I can take the danis up to 20w with no dry hits whatsoever for a nice warm vape, but can only go to 14w with the svd (think this the resulting difference between ac and dc output).. both evics are maxed out at 11w.

will be interesting to see how the dna board vapes.. does anyone know the output frequency of it?

Another day, another few mods...

So, first up is a box mod from piper1. 18650, it is lovely. The ONLY thing is the USB charging socket is the older mini-USB (I think it's called), rather than the micro like my phone and other mods that have USB charging. Apart from that, it feels great, lovely size, and feels very nice to use. Happy indeed...

Well, it's been a while since I bought anything new. And I haven't actually bought anything new here still.

What I did do though, was re-coiled my KFL+ and Rose V2 such that they could be fired on some of my old regulated mods. I've been almost exclusively using mechs for the last few months, only occasionally breaking out the DNA30. Most of my builds have been quite sub-ohm in that not all of them would fire on the DNA. So this made for a nice wee departure.

So.... I have a 1.2 / 1.3 Ohm build in my KFL+ sitting on my Nucleic DNA30, and a 1.6 / 1.7 Ohm build in my Rose V2 (stumpy) atop an MVP V2. Breaking out the old guns. May even be tempted to fire up a Vamo for real old skool cool.
