Well, I mixed some Kent up and thought I'd try it in my Protank 1 because it fouls up the coils so fast in iClears16s. What a disaster! I tried a couple of different coils in the Protank, tried different voltages... absolute rubbish. It just did not come close to the iClear experience. Yes, there's vapour. And there's flavour. Sort of. I suppose I should be grateful that the Protank is lighter on juice consumption (though not much, as I was drawing longer to get a hit).
Have I been spoilt by the iClear16s?
???
Maybe I've got used to the warmer vape, the clouds of tasty vapour, the fast warm-up... I think I'll put the Protank aside to use for the one or two tank-cracker flavours left in my box.

Protank 2?, your own coils and cotton wick?.
Tank preferences are like eliquids preferences, I love the protank 2. I've used the Iclear 30 but I just didn't get on with it.
If it is a protank2 I will take it off your hands for a price which is good for you.

Hey @purple1234
It's an original Protank, the one on which you can't change the drip tip. Yes, my own coils with silica wick as it seems to tolerate a fair bit of dry-burning after cleaning. Without a strip of "flavour wick" over the top this time. It does taste ok for some flavours, but I've been using just iClears for a while.
How does the Protank 2 compare to the original?

Hi jonoclouds, I love the protank2.
All this internet chat about gurgling, leaks, burnt flavour.
I've experienced the first two, but that was user error during my first week of going from the plastic totally wicked refil things to a tank.
I've got three protank2's. I recoil and rewick when required. To me the taste/ vape is fantastic.
I have zero complaints about them. They rock.

Can I use the protank with an ego? never used them S I prefer top coils but I think the mini protank would be better on an ego as the protank is bigger ( think it would fit but top heavy ?) How are you doing ? Haven't seen you on for a while hope you ok

I've a couple of Protank 2s but I never use them. I use the iClear16 on my morning commute and always have a VTR/iClear30S on the desk as back-up to one or another finicky RBA.

I get head aches if I over do it and found lowering nic esp on a night when I tend to chain vape helps

I kept getting headaches 8 weeks in melly74 and because I'd just started mixing I culled nicotine strength down from 16mg to 12, seems to have sorted me no more brain ache.. Haven't started clawing the walls and fantasising about ciggies, so touch wood *taps head* I seem to get along OK on lower dose, but then I suspect I chain vape at night as a habit now...and all the water sipping is bound to flush my kidneys out well ??? winwin eh!
