Shiny things arrived today and have had some really good advice on batteries etc for my new Caravela clone but my next hopeful question is on how to coil the genesis atty that came with it. The coil that came in it came out at 0.6 ohms (not for me just yet!) got a couple of stainless mesh's with it and I can see how it was put together but was wondering if there was a dummies guide on the site for getting the thing working, it's in the ultrasonic cleaner at the mo but I can see me getting itchy fingers soon and wanting to try coiling it

Try the Petar kay method? or oxidise the wicks before hand yourself Its basically using a drillbit or nail to wrap your coil

Thanks jcol watched the video and gave it a try, the coil came out at 2.0 ohms which from what I've read is probably a bit high but hey ho, took a good hour to get it going and the taste at first was awful, but been vaping on it all evening and it's improved massively, maybe a bit low on taste but my first mech mod with my first mesh wick and some red astaire I mixed last week - quite a sucessful evening Might just get like these mechs and rba's, roll on my Nemmy and kayfun clones from fasttech, just need a dripper now especially after watching Todds reviews and particularly the one where he makes a Toddoid out of a Phoenix and a bit of ingenuity.

smarties Thanks mate, glad you got it sorted. Gennys can be fiddly to get right as its quite easy to get hot spots with them, but once its going good its a nice vape. Also that wick will last for months, i used to use a syringe to flush out the tank, dry burn then fill with a new flavour juice. 2.0oHms is ok mate, you could try 1 or 2 wraps less, i personally find around 1.3 ohms is good for me but my Vamo wont fire if i go lower lol. If you are going sub 1.0oHms please make sure your batteries are rated for a higher amp draw. I also have a nemmy and kayfun clone, i use a microcoil and cotton in the kayfun and i find its a better vape then the genny lol.
