I've had a reply back from LJ's about these adapters:-

Thanks for your inquiry. Hopefully we can satisfy your concerns.

1) Please remember this adapter may not work with all accessories, tanks, etc... Similar to other items. The adapter doesn't have the notches on top. It appears the depth of the top 510 connection is shallower than a typical ego battery connection. The top edge of the adapter is about the same height as an ego battery connection to the bottom of the airflow notches. In other words, a cartomizer doesn't bottom out on the top edge, thus the airflow is within the gap. It would most likely depend on the airflow path on your accessory as to whether it works or not.

2) Yes, the center pin is solid, protruding all the way through to make connection on your existing center post.

3) Yes, we ship regularly to the UK, and a select few other European Countries. The cost is a flat rate $19.95, and we ship via the USPS postal system.

4) Please note any concerns or declaration values you prefer in the "comments" box during checkout. Although we are familiar with UK issues, it helps if you note it each time as a reminder.

I'm thinking an ego thread-cover plinth with air channels may well work to give the tank a solid base to sit on and hide the gap from the shorter neck of the adapter, IYSWIM, so it would go: adapter on mod, with flat-top plinth screwed onto outer ego thread of adapter, then tank on top.... looking at the photo on the website of the adapter on the vamo it should be do-able, albeit with a bit of a pinched look between mod and tank. Sounds like it should work on the FT twists with stripped 510s too.... anyone see a flaw in this??

Looks a good fix to me GunJack. If it needs an extra plinth to cover the gap then fine, think most peeps will have one anyway. Still think its a handy bit of kit to have, at the moment I don't need one, but its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. So count me in for 2 it you decide to go ahead with the purchase.

That looks good GunJack nothing a plinth can't hide, which is what I have anyway. I want one for charging and one to use with my Protank so looks perfect

close, but no cigar I looked at these, but they will limit use to just a 510 thread, and poss carto only...don't look like they'd fit in a standard ego charger either (for the Twists with stripped 510s...

Lots of suggestions but I think you actually have to have an ego with a stripped 510 thread to understand the problem. the adapters from LJ's are definitely the solution.

Nice try, but I read over on ECF that the Ecab threads are different to Ego, the Ecab is smaller diameter, thanks for trying!
