Alcohol Bath

I used to work In a big electronic factory and all the flux was washed off the circuit boards by a vapour phase machine, it was basically a machine that vaporised an alcohol solution and the boards were just dropped into the machine for a couple of minutes. They used to come out spotless so it were me I would give it ago. The only unknown really is how the screen will react to it.

I recently gave the mini provari a very quick wash in Isopropyl alcohol.
Provape said it was ok to do it on mini provaris made before December 2012.
Not sure why - maybe component change of some type?
But I did give it a very quick splash and dash clean, and its OK.

Not sure if it's the same but I managed to get the head off my zmax by wrapping the head in leather and a vice, it did take a lot of force though.

OK, I have just poured the IA into the top and given it a shake then poured out, did this 3 times.
The TZmax is now on the radiator which is just warm.....

I'll leave it there for a hour or so and report back

OK, after the first bath I let the TZmax dry on top of a radiator, it did not take long, I tried it and it worked fine but I noticed some "condensation" inside the screen. Looking inside there was still some evidence of juice within the control head. So bath number 2 and again I basically filled the head with IA and gave it a shake and poured out the IA. Then repeated again with fresh IA, I did this a further 3 times, shook it out then back on the radiator. This time when dried there was no "Condensation" to be seen on the screen and no evidence of dried juice within the mod head.

I think the "condensation" was actually juice partially diluted by the IA.

The mod works fine.

Well, as in my post above I have shown that you don't need to dismantle it to clean it effectively, the mod head is lovely and clean inside and out now. I have another one that is really dusty inside, so I'm going to do that one now.
