The coil looks neat - but you've mounted it the other way up to the way I put it, which meant you were having to bend the wire in all directions to get it round the screw.

I keep the coil in place by keeping it on the drill bit I've used to coil it, holding that in place while wrapping round the first post and tightening, then just swap over and do the other one, and Roberts your fathers brother. Lift the coil up on the bit at the end to keep clear of the airflow tube, then remove the bit.

It'll take some practice, but keep at it!

You can get some cotton wool balls from a local supermarket - I dont think I could resist getting some in if I'd got to that stage and couldn't vape it!

so the wire should wrap round the screws from the outside not the inside is that what you mean? ahh if they arnt here by tomorrow all be getting some from boots or somthing

No, I mean the coil is upside down - look at Super-Shiny's picture here:



The legs then just turn around the screw 90 degrees, and tighten.

Ionia is right there Geordie vapor it's makes it much easier to do when your stems are on the underside.
Iwec as worried about pitting it on my svd so tried it on my multi meter first!! Just in case!!

With 0.25, you want around 7 or 8 turns for 1.8 ohms on a 2mm drill bit. Is this going on your SVD? If so, it won't make too much difference if you're into the 2 ohm mark, with the variable wattage!

yeah will be on the svd and similar devices for a wile till i take the plunge into mech mods

As said geordie_vaper, keep the coil on the drill bit (or whatever you're using) when you attach it to the pos & neg screws & you'll find it easier to manage. You'll also be able to lift the coil clear of the airhole easier & straighten the coil too with it on the drill bit.

got my cotton today in a big box wrappd in bubble wrap very strange indeed, set up kfl with 1.8 coil and its amazing thanks everyone for the advice and help
