So I go on holiday in July flying from Manchester to Crete, just wondered of any experience you have had with security at airports and carrying them in hand luggage,I'm guessing liquid and tanks will have to go in them bags but what about batteries and devices,I really don't want them taken off me ???

I've read bits and bobs around forum on this topic arron, as although I'm not flying abroad this year -- I'd hate to be without an eciggie!
Seems its ok with hand luggage, as long as eliquid is under 100mls and put in the clear plastic bag along with all liquids. As mods are batteries, thats not for the hold either so I think its hand luggage for batteries, liquid can go in suitcase if needs be

just make sure they dont show poison on the lable! one here had a problem with juice in Norway or Denmark even though it was labled ejuice ,but over past year think more customs peeps have got used to seeing the stuff oh and if you take a VTR have that in your hand or you will be charged for overweight

as written before - just put the top with liquid and maybe a 10ml unlabeled bottle in the plastic bag - keep the batteries in the hand luggage - I flew over Christmas from Manchester and had no problem like that - rest of the liquid in the check in luggage though

We're going to crete in July too We went to Kos last year. I was using spinners and vivi novas at the time (takes me back!!) I carried some e liquid in my hand luggage, along with both batteries and a couple of tanks. Rest of liquid went in hold luggage. One tip - take empty tanks (the pressure can make them leak). (where are you going in crete? Will have to keep my eye out for someone with a VTR!)

There was something on the news a few days ago about batts in hand luggage it said to make sure nothing metal like keys or anything near them, this has been copied and pasted from the article
Carry batteries where you can get to them - in your hand luggage, not your hold luggage Put a tape over the metal terminal of any spares or wrap in a plastic bag Keep them away from other metallic objects Be careful where you buy them in the first place - if they're a lot cheaper, there may well be a reason

I'm off on first hol as a vaper this year. Guessing eliquid I've mixed myself would be a no no in hand luggage... But ok in hold luggage. Bit confused about the battery rules.. so they should be in hand luggage? Guessing my mod can go in hold luggage minus batteries though. Is there a limit to number of batteries in hand luggage? Reason I ask is we are off camping on a Greek island so may need to take a few. Edit.. found a link to rules regards spare batteries.. only two allowed I think if I'm reading right..... www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=2200&pageid=14501

I flew out from Gatwick a couple of weeks ago. I took 10 batteries in various sizes, all in my hand luggage. Got stopped at the x-ray machine.....no probs with batteries but they wanted to know what the mods in the bag were.

Could be somewhat mortifying if was me.... "and Madam, why do you require so many batteries?......and WHAT ARE these cylindrical objects you have about your person?!?" Hole/Dig/Spade/Me!
