You can use MOST tanks on a VTR by using the extension that comes with it, or cut off the Top Ring and then nearly everything fits!!

@gpfwestiei would suggest a mechanical with a kick if you want VV/VW or get used to life without VV/VW Vamos are awful. I bust one in 2 days over new year. All it did was fall out of my handbag onto hospital carpet I'm currently in love with my magneto (not a clone) but Kamri 100s and also the (posh one of the bolt - can't recall what it's called off hand) work fine. You may need to set yourself a budget and go from there and refuse to buy mods that cost more than £40 (my rule) But so far my magneto is never out of my hand and I've had it since new year

The Bolt with a Kick was the first MOD I bought. I'm not sure how long it lasted, maybe a couple of months. The first failure was due to me over - tightening the Attie. I replaced the 510 Connector to get it going again. The second failure was when the kick broke - or something happened such that a short occurred. I managed to get the battery out before anything melted but the kick was toast. The final failure was the switch. It no longer consistently fires. I checked it with a volt meter, but had no idea where to get a new button from - plus I was sick of the thing by then. Still got it though if anyone knows where I can get a new switch ? The 3 Vamos broke in 3 different ways, 1) Voltage output never more than 3V (and same with Watts) 2) Voltage output never less than 9V (same with Watts) 3) Micro switch on the 'up' button stuck on. So I am a bit nervous now of buying anything made in China. I could have bought a Pro-Vari in the first place (and some !) given how much I have spent on cheaper mods now

Sigelei zmax v3 is a sturdy piece of kit. Mines took the odd bounce test and has been fine. Good looking aswell in my opinion.

Out of all the mods I own and abuse, it is my provari that comes out with me when out and about. It really it a war horse.
Dropped it, bashed it, almost had a fight with it one friday night outside the kebab house (enuff said on that).
Still performing like a champ.

Gary the LAUNCHER is tough as old boots also looks good and has a good weight. You can use a kick in it in 18350 and 18500 mode. Griff

Hey Mod Destroyer, you must share my cackhandedness then. Do you also have a selection of broken mobile phone / tablet / kindles as I do ? Reminds me of the recurring line in Archer - 'This is why we can't have nice things !' - normally said directly after knocking a priceless vase / ornament onto the floor. Thanks for everyone's suggestions, they were all great. As it happens, the emergency Innokin MVP I ordered (as recommended on here, thanks Perpetua) arrived, and I'm so pleased with it I'm going to forgo the 'something sturdy' purchase to see how it lasts. Stand by for a new post in 4 weeks time after I have destroyed the MVP
