boyofford,
Some Juice, builds up a residue on the coil ( Vanilla Custard in my case)
It's totally obvious if you look at the coil, but can also be measured via an increase in resistance (hence my post).
As you're coils are still reading reasonable Resistance values - this is not your problem.

Evod is a standard Li-Ion battery, therefore will be between 3.7V and 4.2V fully charged.
If the Vamo is burning the liquid when set at below this voltage then the Vamo is bad and you should send it back.

hey just though ad ask a question on this thread, can i use my unprotected batteries that i use in my vv/vw mods in a mech mod with a kick? the kick adds a bit of saftey doesnt it? Just buy these, they are the best, can be used in anything, and are not expensive AWR

Mechanical Mod is sturdy, and will last more than my lifetime. I wind my own coils, and they do tend do degrade (at least with my E-Juice)
Like this :-
1.8 Ohm on day 1, 2.0 Ohm on day 2, 3.4 Ohms day 3 (and are now not usable until I dry burn / clean them)
I can kind of get round this for a while with a VV device by upgrading the voltage / watts.
Are you guys just meticulous about cleaning your clearo coils every day ? or is it my Juice ?

(Edit, sorry I misread the post, I thought you meant a Mod with electronics in it) (Edit2, because of the internal resistance of a Li-Ion cell, you can directly connect a coil of 1.5 Ohm's and up and not exceed 9 Watts. More Ohms on the coil = less power at the coil. So in short - it's the resistance of your coil that determines the power (W) you are vaping)
I think it's just Ohms law ?
W = V2 / R
W = Power (Watts) V = Voltage R = Resistance (Ohms)
(Thats V squared not V2)

The centre column that holds the head is only a press fit onto the base (you can pull it apart with pliers), maybe it's loose.

Hi Mate, sounds like you are doing well ! congrats !
Finding a flavour you like is the hardest thing, and your taste buds will be a bit knackered from smoking right now. A lot of people I know started on (insert some tobacco flavour) and found it didn't hit the spot, but mixed it with (any minty flavour) as you have done, so I think you are on the right track there.
Regarding having nicotine content, the only bad thing that can happen from having too much is that you get light headed / feel sick. Whereas if it's too low, you will get cravings and give up, so (in my opinion), use the highest you can away with.
Keep going with it, order some sample packs of flavours - I promise one day you will hit on the right combination !

I have a broken Vamo in which it doesn't matter what Wattage you set it to, it burns everything.
You could try switching it to Volts, and put that right down to 3V, my broken one still burns everything even on that (which is just impossible if it really was 3V).

Hey Mod Destroyer, you must share my cackhandedness then. Do you also have a selection of broken mobile phone / tablet / kindles as I do ? Reminds me of the recurring line in Archer - 'This is why we can't have nice things !' - normally said directly after knocking a priceless vase / ornament onto the floor. Thanks for everyone's suggestions, they were all great. As it happens, the emergency Innokin MVP I ordered (as recommended on here, thanks Perpetua) arrived, and I'm so pleased with it I'm going to forgo the 'something sturdy' purchase to see how it lasts. Stand by for a new post in 4 weeks time after I have destroyed the MVP

The Bolt with a Kick was the first MOD I bought. I'm not sure how long it lasted, maybe a couple of months. The first failure was due to me over - tightening the Attie. I replaced the 510 Connector to get it going again. The second failure was when the kick broke - or something happened such that a short occurred. I managed to get the battery out before anything melted but the kick was toast. The final failure was the switch. It no longer consistently fires. I checked it with a volt meter, but had no idea where to get a new button from - plus I was sick of the thing by then. Still got it though if anyone knows where I can get a new switch ? The 3 Vamos broke in 3 different ways, 1) Voltage output never more than 3V (and same with Watts) 2) Voltage output never less than 9V (same with Watts) 3) Micro switch on the 'up' button stuck on. So I am a bit nervous now of buying anything made in China. I could have bought a Pro-Vari in the first place (and some !) given how much I have spent on cheaper mods now

Wow, fantastic suggestions !. I want all of them so far to be honest.
I've not been looking at the forum for the best part of a year, and things seem to have changed dramatically as I thought everyone would suggest a Provari. Have they fallen out of favour now ?

VTR looks absolutely awesome, especially in Camo Green.
It looks like it only supports the iClear30S clearo (Which I know nothing about). Would that clearo work as well as the Vivi Nova's I've been using for the last year ?
Or could I just replace the iClear30S with my Vivi Nova ?

Hi all, I'm looking for a new VV / VW Battery which will put up with some abuse. So far I have broken the following 1 x Bolt (and 2 Kicks) 3 x Vamos, various versions 1 x L-Rider Robust (this works, but doesn't fire up my Vivi Nova's) 3 x Fake Ego's Strangely enough, my very first 650Mah Ego is still working, even though it's the cheapest thing I own I just ordered an Itaste MVP to keep me going while I research. So, who makes the most durable VV Mod, and what would this fine piece of equipment cost
