Grandad - I have just caught up with the end of this thread and don't know if it's been mentioned before, but your tastebuds have basically been shut down while you've been smoking tobacco, and are now coming back to life. We have all been through a 'purple patch' where nothing tastes of anything, and it's really frustrating at the time.
The tried and tested method for relieving this frustration is to vape menthol juice, even if you have never been a Menthol lover. Get something quite strong, and you may be pleasantly surprised at how it hits the spot where other juices don't.
Don't worry unduly about this short period, it will pass and gradually you will be able to taste your flavours again. Many of us use two or three juices in rotation so that our taste buds don't get bored with just one juice.
Lowering the ohm rating of your atomiser head will make a difference, and upping the voltage will give you more flavour too, until it starts tasting a bit burnt, which is simply the atty vaporising the juice more quickly than the wick can supply it.
Persevere and you will be rewarded. I know it can be annoying, and expensive, but you will get there, and at least you will have a bigger arsenal of juices and equipment to enjoy your newly-awakened sense of taste!

Hi chykensa this makes a lot of sense to me thanks, I was never a big fan of menthol ciggies but will try it and see what happens. Thats typical i have over 20 juices and not one menthol lol will see if i can sorce some tommorrow im hopefully going to chelmsford will pop in and see mark i think his name is in the market. Thanks again for your help most appreciated can smoke the menthol whilst my other juices are steeping.

Let us know how you get on! The other advantage of menthol is that it opens the airways enabling you to get more of a nicotine hit. Chocolate and caramel are added to all tobacco to do just that - even more cr@p which we didn't know we were inhaling

morning Grandad im cleaning my iclear so i can get the vape on with my chocolate cheesecake i can not wait no longer lol its only been steeping one day but smells so nice mmmmm

did you get any of the new juice i recomend you and have you got round to trying any yet im useig the last bit of my rryy44 now then its gone icon_shoppingm

Hello mate sorry didn't see your post this morning, I got an I clear 30 with my MVP looks nice are they any good ? That chocolate cheese cake sounds yummy how was it ? Yeah got lots of juices you recommended tried to tag you in a post earlier in the thread but don't know how to tag:'(Mine are steeping at the moment but struggling to keep my hands off them lol

Thankyou eric514 and teethcv i would never of known that one Still waiting on the 5 from tac should be here tomorrow then straight in the steeping station lol,
it says on the box and the ciearomiser thats its iclear 30 no letters after it, it has loads of wicks in it and a 3ml tank which im going to fill with rryy44 very shortly

Yep, it's the iclear30 Grandad. Similar to the 30s, but with the same coil/wick arrangement as the iClear16s. The 30s has an enclosed coil/wick in a tube with holes in it and the 30b is a bottom coil

Another way to tag Grandad is the little person with the @ sign next to the C in the boxes in the reply you just click on it & start typing any members name then suggestions are shown & you pick who you want to tag.
About the menthol mentioned earlier its cheaper & better to make your own just buy a 5g pot of menthol crystals from any chemist cost approx £1-75, crush half a pot of the crystals & put into an empty 10ml bottle (make a paper funnel to put crystals into the bottle) this will fill the bottle to about half way top up with pg to 10ml & either zap in the microwave for 4/5 seconds only or put lid on the bottle & place in a cup of hot (not boiling) water, then shake & you have your own menthol concentrate be careful though as it will be very potent you will only need 2 or 3 drops in whichever juice you mix it to you can always add more if needed but you cannot take it out if you put too much in.
