DiscoDes... Jeez, I thought I was in a different universe for a moment. Couldn't remember posting in a 'mod' thread. My mind is delicate, be careful how you treat it!

DiscoDes in answer to your question to why the ships in 3 days puts me off. Basically it's strongly suggesting they haven't got the stock. I've also read of people ordering items that ship in x amount of days then that status later changing to restocking. I know we can cancel the order but then does the cost get refunded or credited ? I'm not entirely sure so it puts me off a bit.

JayJOK, can't say I've had that Problem with FT, I did have a faulty SVD once but I did get my money back, took a bit of time and badgering but got it in the end. I'm willing to take that risk I guess because of their prices.

Hi afk40That is just for the UK express option. Use the "Registered Air Mail FREE (10 to 14 days in transit typical) - RECOMMENDED" options, I think it's the second option. It's what most people use for non battery orders, normally takes 2-4 weeks.

I'm not entirely sure so it puts me off a bit. When I pulled the trigger on my kayfun clone, it said it will ship on 6 March (still nearly 3 weeks away). Imagine my surprise, when i got notification that it had been shipped on Monday (2 days ago)! My other order with them, which was due to be dispatched today, has not been sent yet! You win some, you lose some. You just have to do what DiscoDes said - pull the trigger - forget about it - smile when you get vapmail!

I'm about to place an order..... Am I right in thinking that I've read something on this forum saying I shouldn't make an order over 30pound? If I do I should do separate orders? DiscoDesHi, I think this is in relation to customs vat, I have to pay it on anything I purchase from USA, after the first £25 , I purchased an aero kit from USA for 100$ and got stung by customs for another 25£, some vendors will write "gift"on the export note and then you don't have to pay any vat, but of course! the Vatman is the taxman and he will open any parcels that he decides to so it is a bit of a lottery, so yes, make separate purchases to cover yourself. good luck.

That's interesting Fred, I wonder if the rules have change since I last purchased an aero kit from Brodaks in USA, it has been three years since my last purchase.
