I am gutted, but only for you. I've been surprised that you've been able to carry on your hard work with the mods while things at home have been in the balance. Your priority has to be your family. I hope you manage to get things sorted.
If you do decide to restart project Rome SS DNA30 again in the future I'll be interested.

Super-Shiny I'm really sorry that RL is so difficult for you right now. DO NOT feel like you have let anybody down. I don't fell let down at all. It was good that you were prepared to invest your time and MONEY to offer them for sale. I'm happy to contribute to the costs you've incurred, if it helps. Stay strong and keep your chin up.

Super-Shiny sorry for your trouble and hope you get sorted soon. No worries about the Mod, these things happen if you decide to go ahead with it in the future then count me in.
Or like Chefs Flavours Lew I'd be interested in maybe purchasing wherever your upto with my mod and having a go at finishing it myself. At least then it could help you get some of the financial costs back from making these mods.

It has come to light that i will be moving sooner rather than later as the council has got in contact with us so my days of making mods and visiting AAEC will be very limited as i have to do all the removals and get ready for our new home, plus for many many months i will be decorating.

So making the mods has come to a standstill and is pointless me letting everything collect dust.

I have made two mods that are ready and good to go and with using random.org here is the list, so seniorphil and blakey get one:



I am sorry to all those who did not but i did not see this coming with the section 21 when i made this thread.



But there maybe some good news as i am putting up for sale four boxes that are all wired up and all that needs doing is the OLED frame fitted and the window fitted into the frame, all then is needed is a DNA board to be fitted and the battery holder stuck down.

Will be selling for £35.00 including P+P (way less than what they are worth with parts and labor involved)

If you choose to buy one of the casings i suggest this:

Get some epoxy from ebay
Epoxy the window to the frame (very small little dab on the sides of the window)
Make sure the DNA screen fits into the frame before fitting the frame into the case, you may need to file a little bit on the frame for the screen to fit.
Make sure the frame fits into the box before hand, may need a slight bit of filing
Once the above is done then just epoxy the frame to the case

Wiring up the DNA:

Do not pull the wires around all over the place, they are only held in place with solder, if one does come loose then just re-solder.
Wire up the DNA (very easy)
Put the battery holder in last as it gives you more room to mess around with when fitting the DNA screen (epoxy it down or just use some two sided adhesive tabs <recommended>, the sellotape things you can hang up pictures with)

It sounds a lot but is very easy.

Fire up your new box mod.

Only buy a case if you know what you are doing, i will not be held responsible for your cock ups


I will also be selling my other mod, the more compact one fitted with a DNA20 not DNA30 on a seperate thread to get some money back.

Super-Shiny wouldn't it be possible to auction your Mk1 mod? I'm sure there would be a lot of interest, you've only got to look at the views this (and your section 21) thread have had. I bet there's of people that would A. like your mod and B. like to help you!
