I think I'm now officially an ex-smoker!

I put on a fleece this evening that I haven't worn for a while and I wanted to move away from myself! It stinks of stale smoke. I have stopped smoking several times in the past and have never been bothered by the smell because I was still drawn to it (never managed more than 2 years and always felt that I was a smoker not smoking). I do believe I've cracked it! Fleece in washing machine.

I was without power recently, my 2 spinners ran out of charge, my MVP kept me going but eventually gave up the ghost... but not once did I think of resorting to the half packet of fags that I've still got in a drawer. I knew, if necessary, I could go to a friends house to recharge. Enjoy the smell of your fleeze.

Nice one dude, I've still got 5 malboro lights in my kitchen draw from last year. I vape some delicious eliquid and wonder why I ever ever thought ciggies were nice.

And the smell eeeww. It make me shudder to think that what in my head thought was a woody, fragrance which lingered on my clothes is in hindsight a disgusting stale replusive smell.

Yesterday, a man brushed past me coming through a doorway...I swear he had a 2 foot lingering mist around him - he absolutely stank! I'm sure I recoiled and grimaced in his face Cant believe I used to smell like that too

I just agree with everything here - it's only 3 weeks that I have not touched a ciggy and feel absolutely great - and yeah me too can now smell if somebody had smoked - how embarrassing that I used to smell like that and did not even notice it
I got rid of all my tobacco and papers and filters already 2 weeks ago - my smoking belongs to the past

I had to get a little black clutch bag out of the back of the wardrobe to lend to my Mum. Found an unopened pack of ciggies in it. Despite not having had a ciggie for 3 months and having none in the house (that I was aware of), I havent been able to bring myself to bin them... what's that about? :s

ditto here Clivia I got past 2 weeks and cleared all my temptations, out went my tobacco and cigarette tubes. Then 2 months in I started selling off my duty free stash.. I quivered a little but was determined to focus 100% on vaping.

I've now spent my profits on lovely vape gear and mixing equipment. Its lovely to have stuff for my money instead of a pile of ash!

I've noticed the smell too. I always do notice it but in the past (going cold turkey) I've found it both attractive and repellent. Now the attractive part is all gone and it's just the most awful smell. It's so funny how you don't notice when you're doing it, considering how strong and unpleasant it is. I mostly get assaulted by it it going in and out of buildings where people are congregating outside. It doesn't bother me particularly, since I still remember being one of those people. But now I think to myself "if only you realised how bad that smells!" and think why doesn't everybody switch?

I know it's perverse, but when I do notice them they act as a reminder of how far I've come. I treat them as a trophy, and tell myself how stupid I used to be.
