Hi all, i have spent the last few weeks reading the forum and taking onboard suggestions for a good basic set up using bits from a previous attempt at vaping. So far in my new arsenal I have acquired several iclear16, a protank mini (non removable tip) and an evod. I really wanted to like the mini protank as it looks very sleek but cannot get any flavour out of it! Same thing i am finding with the evod which i wanted to like. I have now ordered an aspire bdc to see if that will take me off my iclear16. I am stubborn! so I am still charging the life out of my 2 official ego batteries and 6 unofficial ego's. I was not getting a consistent vape with the unofficial so am using the official egos and have acquired 2 new evod batterys at 650mah. I find with my shy setup that the best vape is from the iclear16 with the 1.8ohm head which is annoying as they come stock with 2.x heads which are now stocking up in a pile! My favourite juice has been tracked down to JJ grape (love the stuff) at 6mg. And am steadily building up multiple sample bottles of flavours which i cannot stand, so back to the grape! So i guess after my rant and i know that i am probably not utilising the clearomisers to their full ability, am i just being too boring using the iclear16 on a 3.7amp battery with the same juice? Whats the opinion on the aspire bdcs? Is it boring to vape only one flavour? The juice I vape is 6mg (I am still smoking ) but havent attempted the transition because even if i havent had a stinky for hours, I can only vape a few puffs (approx 6) before feeling lightheaded so have been reluctant to move up in mgs. If you have read this far and not fallen asleep, I thank you! Happy vaping

Whatever works for you is what's right no matter what anybody else says. If I were you though I would up the nic level considerably. At 6mg you aren't getting nearly enough to stop any cravings when you first start. Try 18 mg and just have a vape on it when needed, either a lot or just occasionally. The heads on your I clears are replaceable so you don't need to buy a new one very often. Just get a pack or 1.8 ohm heads and clean them or change them as you need to.

You might like to give this a try www.ukecigcabin.com/product/aerotankI bought one a couple of weeks before I moved on to rebuildables. I found it gave me a lot more flavour than the protanks I was using. It also has the air flow adjuster on it so you can control how airy you want your draw to be. If I didn't have my kayfun, I would definitely be using this more than anything else.

It's whatever works for you in the long run lots of people only ever use iclear16s. I myself only ever use protank minis mostly v2 with removable drip tips. With the juice you use it's all down to choice personally I have about 7 or 8 on the go at any one time but if you only like one then stick with it. You could get some menthol and add a few drops to the juices you don't like see if that helps many a horrid juice has been rescued like this. I use an itaste vv/vw v3 battery as I prefer to be able to change the wattage it definitely improves the flavour using the protank mini's if you can stand the wait they are only around £16.50 from fasttech. They are a similar size to the evod 650mah that I have as a backup.

oh oh i feel a twitch, how do the aerotanks look on an ego batt, i am assuming top heavy? 18mg? I see the logic cause i smoke about 15 analogues a day, but got scared when i ordered 12mg and started feeling funny, i guess i will have to come up with a date to give up the analogues and get some testers in higher strengths, sounds basic as i used to vape 12mg before but ended up on the analogues as at the time the old school clearomizers constantly let me down. Now things are more stable that is probably where i have to start...set the date!

as the all above already said - there is no such thing as boring - we all have so different tastes and if you love this one liquid then that's the one for you - I back the advice though of getting a higher nicotine one - I started nearly 4 weeks ago with 18 - and am now slowly going down to 12 - but I have not touched a cigarette in all that time and don't feel for one - when the time is ready you will pack in the ciggies - you can do that - so so many here could
and as with the liquids - it's with the gear - you just need to find what you like - occasionally try something new but be well equipped with your favourites

Forgot to add, I have thought about vv and vw (not that i understand the technology but there is a helpful post on here!) but when i calculate how much i spent on the batteries i have probably around £50-60 easily that never really got used, it is hard to justify getting another although i could probably use up the stock iclear16 heads with a vv batt as at the moment preferring the lower resistance has them sitting down getting dust!
I just hate waiting stuff!

I would say it would be slightly top heavy, but not overly so as to be ridiculous. I also agree with the other posts that 6mg is far too low. I vape at 18mg which I find replicates near enough the sensation I got from the cigarettes I smoked.

If you like the ego size and style and want to try vv you might like a vision spinner. That would indeed help to get through your higher ohm coils. Just turn the voltage up a bit until you get it to how you like it. I think they are somewhere around £20 so not too badly priced and should last a while before needing replaced

You are not boring, by your own admission you are trying different things (I have tried lost of tobaccos and still only like the first and have a litre and a half of it) even if you were "boring" so what, its whatever works for you. God luck with your vaping journey.

Like erik514 said try an ego type VV like a spinner or twist to see if it helps before shelling out the big bucks.

Thanks guys, no matter how long i go away, i always get help when needed xxx with the analogues they are considered "light" at 0.7mg so if i go through approx 15 that would be 10.5mg nic a day...confusing myself! would 18mg still be ok do you think?

I use my protanks 2 with the adapter ring on my old ego batteries - and don't see or have any problems with it
