Dipping a toe in the water

Hi, Ive been smoking tobacco (amongst other things) for too long, since 1984,
and have seen a lot about these e-cigarettes.

I curerntly smoke rollups so I think it will be quite tough to convert, but I'm going to give
it a proper go. I reckon I spend about £30 per week on baccy and papers - so a starter kit
won't really breka the bank - it might even help me save some cash.

I tried a couple of the disposable ones (Red) which were Ok if a bit tasteless and weak,
but worse than that a dreadful waste of resources. First one conked out after a couple of
days - the post mortem revealed a dodgy solder joint. Still using the second, but tend to take
a few drags, then want a real cigarette.

So I decided to take the plunge and get a Riva 510, which most peeps here seem to recommend
for newbies, whilst figuring out what i really want from it and what all the jargon means.

Thanks - I've just been reading your diary - quite impressive reduction in baccy use.
Like you, I hate the staining, and the dust it generates (I hate dusting too ).

I think it helps not to say "I'm giving up smoking" but "I'm smoking in a different way" - that way there's no pressure on you, which as you know is not good for a smoker. And if you feel the need for an analogue, have one but don't feel guilty about it - just celebrate all the analogues you haven't smoked.

Can;t bear it I'm afraid - or any other of those fake jeopardy reality shows.

Tizer put it perfectly ...introduce vaping and you will just find that the amount of actual analogue smoking you do will just reduce ...no pressue it will just happen ...RY4 is a good choice too, exploring new flavours is half the fun!!
