Just need to let a bit of steam off.
Sent my blackberry curve off to be repaired on the 6th of January. They duly sent a replacement out which arrived on the 30th January. Checked the phone, tried all the basic functions, phone randomly turned off, unable to turn it back on without taking out battery when I tried the camera. Phoned up Tesco and told them of the problem. They agreed to exchange the phone, but still had to send it away.
They confirmed receipt of the phone on the 6th February. Emailed me on the 13th to say phone out of stock would I accept a different colour. Yes fine no problem I said. 2 days ago still no phone online repair tracking still says with engineer 2 days ago so I phoned Tesco up to find out what was happening.
Apparently they emailed the repair centre on the 17th, 4 days after agreeing to the different coloured phone and said the phone should be with me 3-5 days from when the repair centre dispatch it. The online tracking still says the engineers are looking at my phone!!!!!!!
Using a blackberry sim in an andriod phone simply doesn't work very well. Don't get all texts correctly and can't use all the functions.
How long does it take to simply exchange a phone!!

You rant away as much as you want zeldamum, that's what we's 'ere fur! I know this won't help you at all LOL but my OH has had excellent service from Tesco in the past, and has been using them for over 5 years. I think you must just be unlucky, unless someone else pops up with similar problems. Told you it wouldn't help, but just wanted to show my solidarity

Normally they are very good, this time not so good, their usual 7-10 days seems to be stretching to 20 days.

Well this is now turning into a sage.
Phone Tesco this morning as my son lost his phone while on a school trip, cancelled his sim, new one ordered. Fair chance another child has picked up his phone by mistake and its not worth anything, very old phone. Spoke to someone regarding my replacement phone to be told they are waiting for stock.
Told them I had already agreed to a different colour phone due to black being out of stock, they have no record of me phoning them!! So now they are going to email the repair centre yet again to contact me regarding having a different phone which will take 2 working days and then it may take them another week before they send a new phone out.
I feel some compensation coming on. It will be 2 months without a fully working phone if the new one arrives by the 4th March.
