When I bought my beloved Russian clone the other week, I didn't realise it didn't come with the clear tank section. Mr Dolly and I are putting in a FT order tonight for various bits and pieces. What I want to know is, do the Kayfun clear tank sections advertised going to fit my Russian? There doesn't seem to be anything listed specifically for it on there.

That's great stamina thanks for that. I might as well take a chance on it for that price. Not a lot to lose.

I didn't get it from FT Lenny, so I can't comment on what their ones are like. I got mine from hightectrading. A UK based guy who sells them for just £25! My one is excellent. Cannot fault it. He has quickly sold out, but will be getting more in. You don't get the clear tank though, which is why I am looking on FT. A few other members here have got one from this guy and I haven't heard of any problems so far.

I find if I use a silica wick I don't need a clear tank at all. I get a bit of a dry hit when it needs filled and no risk of vaping cotton wool ash. Bit more of a fiddle to get working right but after the first couple of tries it's easy enough

lenny59 Some people are delighted with the russian and some are not. Something to do with the juice channels being to narrow but you can use a 1.8mm grinding bit to make the channels bigger. I was unfortunate with mine because of the thread screws but the coils screws are cheap enough to buy. I sent FT a support ticket and they have sent me a new base which is still in Singapore. Most people are cleaning them before use to get shut of the machine oil and swarf Pot luck I'm afraid but easily rectified.

lenny59 Yes I did. They originally named it the kayfun lite at 26 dollars and changed it to the russian and the price went down to 20 dollars but soon put the price back up again to the original. Overall the one I got is good quality besides the screwy problem but if your willing to dabble with it then it will become a great buy. Have a look at the discussion section on the item page, loads of threads relating to all sorts, some good and some bad. The 5 star rating currently stands at 4.3

F.O.C = Free Of Charge, just forget the postage. You might be able to buy three inches of silica and 4 inches of kanthal for Mr Dolly to wrap you a new coil for your Kayfun with it
